Two Thumbs Down. It’s simple. I’m disappointed. I did not receive what I ordered. I requested a yellow cake with buttercream frosting and I received a cake with cream cheese frosting. Of course there’s no way to know that until you get it home, cut into it and taste it. When I emailed them to voice my disappointment, they emailed me back that I didn’t order the right thing. WRONG! Obviously the person taking the order messed up. So… I politely emailed again, explaining that I DID order buttercream frosting. I did not even receive a response. That’s just RUDE.
Disapointment. I recently had my wedding cake done by We take Cake. The cake was included in my wedding packages, however my husband and I opted to pay additional to rent a cake stand and have strawberries put in between the bottom layer of the cake. Our cake stand was beautiful. However, there were literally 3 sliced up strawberries for the whole bottom layer. On top of that, we had to be called to cut the cake halfway through our ceremony because it was about to fall over!!! Talk about an embarassement on what is supposed to be the best day of your life. When my husband returned the cake stand and asked them about the strawberries, they gave excuses. We were charged an extra $1 per slice for no strawberries (and they are in season!!!) No apologies were given for our leaning cake, or the lack of strawberries. No refund was given, not an apology- nothing. The lady didn’t even care. Let me say I will never use this place or recommend this place to anyone. A great disappointment!!!!9/10/10 After posting many negative reviews on websites (gotta love technology) I finally got a call from a representative from the company. They allowed me to speak my mind about my disappointment and then gave me the apology that I wanted. I will give them credit for that. As an uneeded bonus, I am getting back my money for the lack of strawberries.
Extremely disappointed. Cupcakes were way overpriced, had a chemical aftertase and an overall chalky consistency. The person I ordered from was not friendly and very curt. Way too expensive, and the person I ordered from was really unfriendly and cold.
