Service 1/10. Food 7/10. Walked in. Waited 30 minutes to be seated although tables were clearly opened (after being told a 10 minute wait). Did not see waitress for 25 minutes after being seated. Food arrived 45 minutes after being seated. After all this terrible service, the food was good though. If you have 3 hours for a meal, hit it up.
Bummer service every year. Every year we go back because it’s right next to our time share and every year the service stinks.
Had dinner here since it was close to where we parked, under the causeway. Reviews showed three out of four liked it, and they had fish sandwiches, so that’s also why we picked it. The menu choices are huge! Lots of specialty drinks, too. We got the pan-seared grouper sandwich and a crab cake and bacon panini sandwich. Both portions were very generous, both sandwiches were big. But both lacked flavor. The grouper didn’t seem seasoned (had we known we would have asked for blackened grouper, what they call bronzed). The crab meat in the panini was flavorless, too. The toasted bread making up the panini was thick and crunchy, which was great. We got the coconut shrimp (6 pcs) with sweet Thai sauce as an appetizer, which was good and Thai-like as zesty hot. The table service, though, was slow and not attentive. It took two hours to eat, not because we ate slowly, but because the food and service were both slow. It took over 10 minutes to receive our bill after I asked for it. We had intended to eat starting at 6:40 so we could see the sunset at 8:18, but we completely missed the sunset. Because our food lacked flavor and the service was so slow, I won’t return here. Not recommended.
Overwhelmingly large menu! Made it very hard to just pick one thing! However, even with a large menu, the food was great! I ordered a steak and my husband ordered shrimp and scallop stir fry! The beers were cold and the atmosphere was fun!
We had a great experience here! Ate outside on the top deck and the view is great. The drinks were good and so was the service and food. One suggestion … if you order a sandwich, you could easily spit it with someone because they are HUGE! Definitely going here again.
Poor service,a manager who does not care. This was a business lunch. Very embarrassed by staffs attitude. Many other fine restaurants in area. Spend your money there.
Wonderful night. Went to Nervous Nellie’s this past Thursday night because my niece and her boyfriend were visiting from up North and we wanted to have a waterfront view. I first spoke to Steve when I called and he couldn’t have been more accommodating and gracious. We arrived and were seated outside at the umbrella tables right by the pier. When our waitress, Rita arrived, I knew from that instant that it was going to be a great night. She is an awesome waitress and literally made our night. The menu is so extensive, that it is overwhelming. She recommended all of our meals and they proved her right. My niece and I had the seafood pasta (enough for our dinners and leftovers for at least two more dinners apiece). My husband wanted the spicy shrimp as dinner, not as an appetizer and larger shrimp than popcorn. He loved it and enough again for another meal. My niece’s boyfriend had the ribeye with the seafood over it. The drinks, food, atmosphere and singer (Mike Glean) was more than we could have asked for…so much so that my niece gave Rita a $50.00 tip because she deserved more than a generous tip. What a wonderful experience for our relatives and us!!
