Not fresh shrimp.12 May, 2013Shrimp lovers, this place is not for you. Deep fried too long and was obviously fresh and was out of a bag from a vendor . Great view of gulf but not good food.
I have never had such terrible service. We went here for drinks on a slow Tuesday. The daiquiri was filled with ice chips and impossible to drink with a straw. We ordered mozzarella sticks, fish fingers and Cajun fries. Not once were we offered second drinks. Our order came out one at a time with long spaces between. The mozzarella sticks came with prepackaged marinara sauce and the fish fingers were bland. I couldn’t tell you about the fries because after an hour we had to go and they still hadn’t shown up. I asked the waitress and 10 minutes later she came back and said they were working in them. No apology offered. We opted to cancel the fries as I’m not sure they would taste so good after cooking for an hour. Our bill came with an unheard of 20% added gratuity. We had to go inside to pay and I asked about the tipping policy. Apparently tables over 3 have an added gratuity. I stated that I would not normally give 20% to someone who forgot our fries and basically ignored us. The woman who appeared to be in charge, looked at our waitress and provided no response, apology or compensation. Better places and service along the beach. Don’t waste time here.
Being in the service industry myself this is probably the worst place I’ve been to. We ordered an appetizer with gator bites and shrimp, when I asked where the gator bites were upon receiving the order the waiter tells me that they didn’t have any and that they added more shrimp instead (which were fried with there tail shell still on them). After taking away our empty cups not offering us a refill and not seeing him again for 15 min I found him and asked to cancel my order and leave, by this time our food was already ready so we bit the bullet and ate. Needless to say the food was mediocre and the service was horrible. I would not recommend this place.
Dive Beach Bar Bingo. This is a dive beach bar with outside sitting only. The location is on the beach but beware sometimes google directions are wrong so you can also find it by Beach Access #34. Wicked Wings is burgers and wings beer and sun. They do have umbrellas but the seating is very limited and tight. I gave it 5 stars because it does not act like anything other than what it is. Great wings, Great burgers. The place is not cheap and I am guessing the location makes the real estate a little expensive. I notice you cannot drink on Ft. Meyers Beach but this place is so close you can have your beer and beach. The service was good one server working the whole place. So he has to cover about 8 tables which he did very well. If you are looking for inside seating there is none. If you are looking for something other than a beach bar don’t bother. But if you want the beach, burger, wings, and beer this is your place
Wickedly Delicious. My family discovered this place during a reunion in Ft. Myers. The wings are incredible! They have several sauces to choose from, of which my husband insisted on the Death or Hell, or whatever they call their super hot one and it was indeed very hot (coming from someone who eats a lot of spicy foods). You can ask for extra crispy, which I recommend as well as adding the garlic to whatever sauce you get. Staff was nice, but not always super attentive. However, when you’re in the sunshine looking out on cool blue water, service isn’t always top on your mind. Nice deck with umbrellas for super sunny days. No shoes? No shirt? No problem.
