My husband is from Jamaica, I have been cooking for him for the last 11+ years, and if I had this restaurant in my hometown (or close) I would never cook again. I had the jerk chicken which was perfectly seasoned, my husband had the jerk pork and some curry goat. My mom had the curry chicken, which she loved. Sides of veggies and an extra side of plantain for all. (Sweet and wonderful!) Enough of each of a bonbye (extra whole meal)The staff was caring and food was delivered quickly and efficiently.
What a delightful find! Even more surprising when you see this is in the food court of the Edison mall. Oxtail came in a rich brown slightly spicy but fingerlicking good sauce. Also tender peas(beans) and rice, 2 pieces of plantains, and cooked cabbage with carrots, etc veggie on the side. My husband said the stewed brown chicken – slightly sweet – was the best he’d ever eaten!
Wow…just like on the islands! Jerk spices are spot on, but be careful if you ask for spicy as it brings it to another spectacular level!! Warm and friendly service, backed up by great food. Don’t miss this place
Very good jerk pork…don’t skip this place because it’s a small hole in the wall. Highly recommended.
