I love the Ginger Bistro. The best time to go is around lunch so you can get the dim sum. I highly recommend the one with the egg custard in the center. I’m not a fan of their curry because they put chunks of potato in it but thats just personal preference.

First time. Arrived around 8. Place almost full. Lots of large parties so our service was a bit slow but very attentive. Extensive menu. Having lived in Hong Kong felt a bit like being back there with live seafood in a tank up front and barbecued duck and pork hanging in a window in the back. Very nice decor that is not in any way pseudo Chinese. One seafood entre was great including a large amount of fish, squid, scallops. Beef entre very good also. Prices realistic for high quality, large portions, nice environment. Will certainly return. They offer dim sum which could be interesting too.

06/04/16 Dinner VisitWe came for dinner and tried some different menu items. We tried the Roti Canai at the suggestion of the waitress and it was fantastic. Spicy but not too spicy, the only downside was it only came with two pieces of Roti, we could have used at least two more pieces to sop up all the delicious sauce! We then got the BBQ Combination and chose the Roast Duck and Spare Ribs (again at the suggestion of the waitstaff). The spare ribs were great, the duck I’m glad I tried, but I don’t think I would order again. Some of the pieces still had feathers attached…For the main course we chose the Beef and Chive Flower with XO Sauce. Which was tasty and wonderful, but not spicy in any way shape or form. Suggest up the spice or alter the menu description. Finally we tried the Strawberry Ice Cream Mochi and it was a wonderful, delicious, and light way to end our meal.Lovely place, the waitstaff is pleasant and attentive and the food is tasty and plentiful (although I am still wishing for more Roti).*****5/29/16 Visit for Dim Sum!We came for the Dim Sum lunch experience and enjoyed it. Although I think I love the idea of Dim Sum much more than the actual experience of it. I think I would have been equally happy ordering only one dish for lunch. But life is all about experiences, right? So we tried many, many new things:Eggrolls – you can’t go wrong with an eggroll!Fried Shrimp Almond Ball – if you like shrimp.Scallion Pancake – Served with a side of hoisin sauce that I adored. Seriously you could eat this stuff off cardboard.Pork Shumai – Split decision, one person liked it, the other didn’t.Steamed Ginger Soup Buns – The trick is to bite a hole and gracefully suck some of the broth out so that it doesn’t squirt across the table and hit your dinner companion.Mango Ice Cream Mochi – Fantastic! I’m only sorry the did not have the red bean version.Fried Sesame Balls – Yum! The center is a sweetened bean paste. All in all a lovely experience. I would certainly visit again to try some different dishes or get takeout!

and if you do a little internet googling, you can find some coupons !My only complaint is that they are not in NJ where my primary house is, but knowing I can visit ginger bistro when we go to our vacation home down by Naples, it give me something to look forward to.

It like being in San Francisco without the fog. Here is my 2 cents. Lets start with the sweet and sour soup. MMM good not as sour as in SF but it is right up there. I thought I was in The City minus the fog. I had seafood and basil with jasime rice. It may seem all rice is same its not, Jasime is more flavorable more delicate. This dish is wonderful. Plus I had the dim sum platter. The most bang for your buck for your dim sum. Unless you are a veteran of dim sum try this. Buy ala carte can get pricey like sushi. Over all it s excellent. Now chit chat. It is in a nondescript mall. The interior is very nice. My server Tapferer(?) did a great job. One hiccup was the owner brought me my entree before my appetizer. No big deal it is all going in same place just a different order. It was all hot all good. Another observation was it is more expensive than eating in Chinatown, San Francisco. Prices are 3-4 dollar more per dish. But its really good food and no competition.. Beside flying to SF or NY for chinese meal is a bit crazy. I did miss the ambiance of cobble stones, crazy old chinese ladies and nick knack shops. So for a good time of food and frolic stop on in..2016 JulyGinger Bistro, Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat.First this time, chit chat. If you cannot afford to go to San Francisco,CA for a chinese meal , Then this is your best choice. All you are missing is the the cool refreshing fog. This is a cantonese style eatery. They serve tiny meals of 3 items, Known as Dim Sum . You can share in a family type situation or for yourself. You have approximately 30 choices of dumplings, bun and egg rolls, Different taste ,cooking style and ingredients.I had steamed bbq pork and a baked pork/veggie bun. They are brought to you in a covered dish . Either a bamboo or stainless steel bowl. My favorite meal is a Szechuan style mongolian beef with white rice. I always ask for extra hot peppers. They never add enough. It is a hot & spicy sliced beef dish with onions, hot red peppers, green beans or other veggies. Since most places NEVER make it hot enough for me. I always request the hot pepper paste oil to make my adjustment. I am sure that the regular recipe, for you wimps out there, will be more then enough to wipe your brow..Here they have a viewing widow inside so you may pick a full size duck or chicken. The do have roast pig. BBQ rib, pork bell and such. If so desire you may purchase by the fowl or by the pound. 11-12 bucks a pound.?In San Francisco you will see this window on the street as you walk. This has been going on for 1000’s of year. 2 years ago in California a law maker tried to ban this culture display of the food. They were voted out of their office immediately.I have tried a variety of dishes they always make me happyNOTE: Dim Sum is 3-5 bucks per serving ( 3 items )They do have a website.

Needs fixing and quickly. Second visit to this place in a few weeks but this time service and kitchen was awful! Inconsistent dishes and painfully slow service. BBQ sat on the table going cold while we waited approx 20 mins for two more dishes, one of which arrived cold. Owner reluctantly comped one dish and was apologetic but Lunch had already been ruined. This place is a little too pricey to get away with this. Kitchen badly needs supervision.
