Worse food i have had in long time. Hush puppies were so hard my staffy could barely eat them and the sodas taste like gasoline. The fish had oil dripping out of it when my wife bit into it and the chicken i ordered were ad hard as the hush puppies. The need to replace the whole cook staff in there.
August 2017Long John Silver, Dani Dr., Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food.Well I am spoiled for even good seafood in SWFL. I only went here because of a BOGO coupon and for another stop. (10 miles from the Coma) I got 2 piece fish , 3 piece chicken, coleslaw and corn. Hushpuppies were tasty.The corn was actually the best tasting item of the group. Coleslaw eehhh. The fish,fried to a golden brown, no real flavor dried inside. Same thing with the chicken. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce was just plain nastyThe staff was a good crew, nice helpful friendly.It is not their fault they have bad recipes.But why the public accepts this stuff. oh yeah they are idiots and do not know good food.Good sea food platter. Here is my 2 cents on the food first. I got the seafood patter. 6 Large fried shrimp, 2 fish filets, 2 hushpuppies, side of onion rings and a cole slaw. MMMMM good. I was surprised at the size of the shrimp. Big….Onion rings freshly battered. filets, tasty …hushpuppy as good as anywhere. Cole slaw creamy. My pick from now on. Oh yes it was 10 bucks, drink included.Now some chit chat. I have been seeing and receiving ads for a looonnngggg time…I was driving from Miami. My butt was sore & this was on the way home to The Cape. Long John is 12 miles from my house. I cannot see driving that far, for a fast food place.It was good very much worth the stop alone.Now the folks were nice and quick. I was tired and needed to get home. My one complaint (or MAYBE my fault) was NO condiments . NO tartar sauce, no cocktail sauce no catsup was offered or included in my bag or pointed out. It would have been a nice to have gotten a reminder.Will I be back, YES, but no 12 miles for a fast food joint. SORRY!!!!!!!!!!
