January 2019Red Lobster, Cleveland Ave., Ft., Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.Well I had a $25 gift card and they had the Captain Platter on sale for $15 bucks.Its all fried salty but tasty.You get cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips. Along with a salad. Tartar sauce & cocktail sauce was passable. A well drink for 5 bucks. A gin & tonic.It was your typical chain restaurant entree. Service and my drink was fine.A good meal for typical uneventful folks.Since no money came out of My pocket…good over all. Mmm all you can eat shrimp..16.95. Well after many many many moons of seeing the TV commercials of Red Lobster I finally visited one. It was what I expected. Clean, nice folks, fine fare cuisine.First the folks. My server Crystal did a outstanding job of helping me stuff my face on the advertised all you can eat shrimp.Every portion was hot and looked as good as those photos on the boob tube.The sides of rice and red potatoes along with the garlic rolls were mmm good.I only gave the place three stars.. WHY ?? I have a prejudice against big chain restaurant’s. I prefer the small family owned establishments. Better service better food the backbone of America businesses . Red Lobster fills a niche in our country and does it well. Thumbs up to the employees.Thumbs up to Crystal the cooks and all of the staff here in Fort Myuers,Fl.Will I come back …yes do I recommend this yes.AHH the bartender should learn how to make a simple drink of a Brandy Separator . Last weekend I got takeout from here. I had never been to a RL before. I will never go again. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp. My meal was burnt and inedible. If you’ve ever had burnt bacon you can imagine how gross this was. No thanks.
I usually like red lobster, but this restraint was not very good. The waitress hit multiple things wrong with our meal. The busser did not use disinfectant when cleaning the tables. The crab was good, but service was poor.
On a Friday night…. Went here for dinner, busy night but we were seated right away. Had a lobster tail, shrimp on a skewer, and the lobster mac & cheese. Dinner was somewhat on the salty side. Everyone else at the table said the same thing about their dinner. The service however was good.
