The ‘Lodges’ brunch menu is spartan, at best. A waffle, with choice of 5 toppings, or 2 eggs (with optional rolls and/or bacon) is all that is offered. So, I ordered eggs, rolls and bacon. The ‘over easy’ eggs were over, but definitely not easy. The rolls might have been ‘fresh baked’ yesterday, because they weren’t warm enough to melt butter, and gave the definite impression of being stale. The bacon was the thinist sliced that I’ve ever been served. The endless ‘Mimosas’ were made with the cheapest domestic sparkling wine sold in Florida, and tasted like it.This review should not be construed, under any circumstances, as a reprieve for my reviews of the ‘Office’ in Cape Coral or ‘Prime de Leon’ in Fort Myers – all three are real stinkers when it comes to brunch. My top choice for brunch is still ‘Bonefish Grill’ – their ‘Endless Bubbles’ (including an entree) at $19.90 continues to be the best value, by a large margin. They use better ingredients for their beverage options, and the peach syrup used for their Bellinis is the best available anywhere! The food menu has variety, and the ‘Surf n Turf’ (Filet Mignon and Lobster) eggs Benedict is superb. ‘The Standard’, also in Fort Myers, is a strong second place for those wishing to stay close to the River District.

The Lodge, Fort Myers, Fl, Note: Be advise that a majority of GPS units takes you to West First St. This is wrong. Check Google maps it will show you First St. in Fort Myers. Here is a bit of chit chat and my 2 cents on the food. I had the Florida feral hog entree with Carolina potato salad and apple coleslaw. First the sides. Both items were pretty good. I do not understand why these southern states item are always sour. Too much vinegar for me. Do they not have sugar? Or are the sour that they lost the civil war. Aside from my preference the side were good. Now the main entree. Pork. It was good pulled pork. No big deal that it was feral hog meat though.Ah but a big tasty surprise was their Texas style mopping sauce . A little spicy and a little sweet. Actually the best sauce I have tasted since being here in SWFL.My server Becky did a great job. This is a touristy and sports bar. Being in downtown Ft. Myers it is what you would expect to find. Also if you wish to try moonshine for the first time , they have a good variety. I tried it. It was strong and surly get you drunk real fast.

This place is amazing. The food is so good and the staff are so friendly and personable. Go see Ben at the bar and he’ll take great care of you!

A+ for atmosphere! High attention to detail between the ski lift and the project wall. Food was only so so. Pulled pork sliders are good, their bbq sauces are not and the bacon Mac and cheese is lacking.

The Bad Hunter. Portobello mushroom burger with a red roasted pepper and few other freshly grilled veggies. Absolutely delicious. Comes with two abundant sides.

Good times. Great new hangout 3 blocks from my house! Awesome wood bar, the fare is bar b q The ribs, brisket, hamburgers and top round I ate were all really good. I There are many TV’s + Giant HD and entire other wall of viewing Snowy Mountains and Sports. Management could have done better getting the right games on but it was slammed so I didn’t whine tooo much. The self beer tap is an innovation and good selection with regional picks but wife not happy about this as have been back a few times to sample. The owners spent a lot of time with this menu which has a lot of good apps and the best deserts that I have had in town.
