Great food, great service. We had dinner at The Veranda last night. We celebrate my birthday there each year along with another couple. Mike was our server last night. He made the evening fun while providing excellent service. The restaurant is beautiful and interesting and the food is outstanding. I always have the salmon, my favorite at dinner. This is also a delightful place for lunch.
RUSHED THROUGH DINNER. My wife and I looked forward to a great Valentines Day evening this year. The setting was awesome, the food was excellent, the price was a little on the high side. What really overshadowed everything else was the service. This was a multi-course fixed price meal. We felt pushed through the entire meal to hurry up, eat get to the next course, and get out. Busboys grabbed plates from in front of us that still had food on them. I had to tell someone three times that I was not finished yet, inside of five minutes. Dessert was still delivered before my entree was gone. The service destroyed was an otherwise very good evening. For a $ 250.00 dinner for two, we were extremely disappointed. I expected better from a place with a good reputation. We will not be back and have already told several friends about the cafeteria style service.Estero diners

Disappointing for a place we usually like. We have been reasonably frequent visitors to the Veranda over the last few years and have generally found the food, ambience and service to be good if not outstanding. We ate there last night and the evening was marred by poor, ungracious service for which no apology was offered.
Reservations not honored.. Disappointing and ungracious managers and downright rude hostesses who are not at all trained. We were finally seated 45 minutes past reservations get arriving 30 min early. Darn shame as this once was a gracious place but they are greedy now and overbook.
From JohnC. We had a courtyard burger last week and really enjoyed it for lunch. One of my wife’s favorite evening resturant. Also my sister’s, who with her deceased husband used to eat there quite often, Lila would play a special song every time they came in at night. We took her there last month when she visited us, that was the high lite of her trip.John Churchill
