LOVED IT!!!. Granny’s is the authentic experience. Wonderful, caring people who obviously take great pride in their business. Spotless, tasteful, original Highwayman art and great food. We just happened to wander in when seeking a spot in Fort Pierce to have breakfast – boy, are we glad we did. Make sure you have the grits – they are heavenly. A big shout out to Granny’s for a job well done!
Best food in Fort Pierce. Great delicious food ,caused me to keep going back for the daily specials.I found this to be one of the best places in Fort Pierce for a decent meal. I wanted to try the oxtails and they were Delicious, so I was on a roll, to eat just about every special on the menu. I haven’t been disappointed and I certainly haven’t left the place hungry. Their fried chicken is excellent, fried to perfection. The meals always comes with two sides, plus rice or mashed potatoes. Always less than $10.14 Feb, 2013Granny’s Unexpected and Good. An American dream and a love for cooking led to the opening of Granny’s in 1975. Not sure if it is called a Soul Food Restaurant or Neighborhood family dining, seems to incorporate both themes. Menu items such as Oxtails, smothered pork chops, fried chicken and smothered liver seems to grab my attention of damn good eating. Granny’s is sparkling clean along with clean brightly painted walls without a cluttered look. It was busy when I was there and everyone was jovial and friendly. I had Corn beef hash & eggs over easy and cooked perfectly. Granny and Grandpa, I am assuming were the two working the kitchen, at least ,by the pictures on the menu. A daughter was waitress. So many menu items I would like to go back and try, Oxtails, are one of them. Just don’t be in a hurry, place does a large takeout, so patience is required.
