A definite gem!. We’ve been here a number of times and the homemade gelato is simply… AWESOME! Never yet had a flavour we didn’t like, and they change frequently so it’s worth visiting often.Beware, the gelato isn’t the only thing that’s incredibly tempting here as there are baked goods and fresh coffees as well. We never leave without a delicious cannoli now either!We’ve recommended Uncle Carlo’s to others often and been thanked every time as those people have also become returning customers with favourite treats they come back for repeatedly.
Quaint and Wonderful. The owners and staff are GREAT! We have ALWAYS been treated like family. I had the Uncle Carlo Pannini and it was very tasty and well worth the price. The coffees and gelatos are very good. The view is nice. We will be back again, for sure.
My favorite desert place. My fiance love desert. we go to uncle carlos twice a week. we tell all our friends and family about them and they are now regulars. i never had bad service , in fact, i feel like family when i go in there. my favorite flavor is banana split. i love how they try new flavors even though only my fiance will try them. he loved the chili chs gelato and the budweiser. they have flavors for children too such as popcorn bubblegum candy cane . they change the flavors but no matter what you get they are all good. i highly recommend uncle carlos to everyone. stop in for your desert or try the soup its great too.
Just not worth it…Maybe. The treats with in the shop are wonderful, but not so unique that it justifies my following statements: On several occasions, some with friends and some with family, I have had hands down the absolute rudest service I have ever experienced, particularly on sunday evenings but on other days as well. I know other reviews state that the service is friendly and I have to wonder if they went to the same shop. The first four times I just kept going back because the deserts are a great treat, but after this last fifth and final time I will never return; the staff there have consistently been demeaning, sarcastic, aggressive and pompous. There was one occasion I asked about the shop owner or manager and the response I received was so aggressive and dismissive, I felt uncomfortable and almost threatened. For my family and I, this little shop just isn’t even close to worth it. To the shop owner: You are in the service industry, your staff should act accordingly, we the patrons keep you in business, often I get the sense from your staff that they are doing a huge favor by simply being there to staff the shop. The last experience I had at your shop I left feeling so insulted by the manner in which I was spoke to, I had lost my appetite.Complaint Update:After Forwarding this complaint, in a more detailed format to the shop owner via their website, I receive a phone call with-in 15 minutes apologizing for the poor service; this clearly doesn’t make up for the treatment but showed me that the owner herself does value the customer, and I appreciated the gesture, and though I have been invited back for an on the house treat I am undecided on weather I will return.
Awesome Gelato!. They have the best, freshest, widest flavors of gelato..Yummy, they have other food for lunch and sweets that looks very temping but haven’t had a chance to try them yet
