Nice Evening Out. We had not eaten at Bay Caf in awhile and were surprised the whole experience. The inside of the building had been modernized since the last time we were there. Started with Escargot in a puff pastry. Seasoning was perfect and the presentation was very nice. I had the Grouper special with artichoke hearts and meuniere sauce and Bonnie had scallops with a ginger teriyaki sauce. Both were served with potato pancakes and sauted green beans. We both enjoyed every bite and cleaned our plates.
Never Disapoints. This place never fails me! It is consistent and always wonderful. From the beautiful views, great staff and absolutely wonderful food! I ALWAYS get the grouper wellington with lobster sauce. My fave!!! Husband loves the steak with the green peppercorn sauce. Always cooked perfectly!
Casual atmosphere meets fine dining plates. When you’re tired of eating your seafood out of a basket make a reservation for dinner at Bay Cafe. French in all the right ways…sauces, butter, flavor, freshness but no pretentiousness. Good service, cute, hidden, waterfront dining. Incredible meal.

I was thinking that French was not my style until I came to this place!! Seriously might be my FAVORITE place…of all!! Wonderful apps, an entree that blew my mind, and a killer dessert. Highly recomend!!
Great for lunch & brunch. I have eaten lunch and brunch at this restaurant for many years, but have not had dinner. Each time I am reminded why I return. The food is fresh, authentic French, and flavorful. Just delicious. The view of the Bay is wonderful, as is this restaurant being a well kept secret. The service is not spot on, and you may need to ask for the specials, and refills of water, but I can handle that with all of the tourist trap eateries we are surrounded by from 30A to Ft. Avoid. Yet another average restaurant masquerading as fine dinning experience. I had ordered Grouper Wellington wrapped in puff pastry. Cost about $30. After half an hour they delivered it but as a totally different dish. When i pointed it out, waitress was kind enough to take it back and to my utter surprise, the dish I thought would take at least as much time, arrived in less than 5 minutes. WTF?It was not even fully wrapped in the pastry as described on the menu. There was a lump of potato slapped on the side with some veggies. The only good thing about that whole dish was – fish was cooked properly. From the reviews and based on pricing, I was expecting more in terms of flavors but it seemed no flavor was redefined as subtle flavor. Nothing much to write about dessert either. I would avoid in future.
