Best French Restaurant In The Area. For those of you old timers around the panhandle area, you may remember a little french restaurant that was located in the Seville district of downtown Pensacola that was called Jamie’s. It was always a special place with outstanding food. This place is the new version of Jamie’s. Location and views are superb, the wait staff is prompt and curtious, the food is absolutely outstanding. Without a doubt one of the best meals that we have had over the last year. It is not yet the busy season, and only two of their tables were not reserved, so we were happy to take one of them, so it would be a good idea to make reservations. The place is a little hard to find, but well worth the effort. The area of Fort Walton Beach and Destin have some of the best restaurants on the Gulf Coast, and this is certainly one of them. It is a small place with only about 12 to 14 tables inside, and weather permitting about the same number outside. I had the Grouper Wellington and my wife had the special, Chilean Sea Bass, both of which would melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. We both left stuffed and happy. Don’t miss this little gem at the foot of the Brooks Bridge.
