Late Lunch. Twirl Girl and I were over in Mary Ester, and stopped here because she saw the TV add for a Sirloin special. I first ate at a Chili’s back in the day … there was a red-head flight nurse involved, and a layover in San Antonio … back in a more colorful time of my life. So with the good memories, I was looking forward to a good meal.It wasn’t bad … we had the Queso with meat as a starter, and enjoyed the fresh chips and the salsa on the side. We ordered our lunch, Old Fashion Chicken Fingers for me, with two sides of corn on the cob, and Twirl Girl ordered her special, six ounce sirloin with fries and a salad. Chili’s tried a different batter (malt based) for the chicken tenders several years ago. It was terrible … so it was great to see they went back to the original!Good choices for both of us. My tenders were large, five total, with great corn on the cob. My daughter loved her steak, though it was not as large as she thought it would be. It was enough, and the server had her cut into it to check to make sure it was cooked to her liking before he left the table. It was.Service was good, the food was good, and the Dad had left overs! Our selections were about $10.00 each. We were happy.
If this place is busy when you pull up then I recommend you leave. The consistency and quality at this place has dropped off. Our food and service sucked! Our server looked like she was about to have a breakdown. It took way to long to get our drinks. In fact, we finished a hole bowl of salsa and chips before our drinks even made it to our table. We ordered pineapple for our kid and at the bottom of the bowl was shredded cheese and salsa as if the bowl was never cleaned. Poor food quality and service. We won’t go back to that location.

My boyfriend and I went out for Valentine’s Day and everything was excellent.
The food and service are usually good but since the past two weeks, the food was awful and the service was very poor.
Love the Citris Salad. I always get the same thing and I love it.
