Underwhelmed. First morning, the girl at the counter was friendly but not knowledgeable. We decided to give it a second chance. Got the owner this time, who made us feel as if we were intruding on his busy schedule. Coffee was OK, but only ok.
Exceptional Coffee. I come from a family of self-professed coffee snobs. Maas is a top notch coffee shop. It isn’t very big, but you walk in the door and are surrounded by the fragrance of fresh roasted beans. I had a cafe latte with caramel. This is a standard order for me and I was very impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The coffee was expertly prepared as well. Maas know’s his stuff and employes an excellent barista who really knows her way around a coffee bar.
Locally Roasted Coffee. Delicious, freshly roasted coffee. Great location to grab a drink and walk along the water at The Landing. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The vienna roasted Sumatra is my favorite.
I asked for a double espresso macchiato with almond milk and received 16 ounces of steamed milk in a to-go cup with two shots of espresso. Not what I was use to but still ok. I asked if they had for-here cups but was told no, which would make this local coffee shop more eco friendly and not have to use styrofoam cups. The Barista also seemed more attentive to the friend that she had there than my confused look about my drink. Plus side is the latte tasted good and they seemed to have a wide selection coffee beans in house.

Fresh roast coffee is fabulous. We were staying at the La Quinta hotel, and found thislittle coffee shop driving to hotel. We LOVE local coffee shops and this one is a gem. Fresh roast beans, smallintimate shop with back area seating. It is all about the fresh cup of coffee for us….please stop in if you are visiting this great little city. You will not be disappointed.
