This is actually one of my favorite chain places, but I don’t like the fact that it can get very crowed on certain days, but I think that’s everywhere. Service is generally good, but there is better. I love the atmosphere and the bar looks cool. As for the food, I’ve always enjoyed, but man they can be pricey. Worth going to every once in awhile, but not too often.
I’ve been here a couple of times, but most recently was there at late night, fighting to get a table outside because they’re open until 2AM, but they had already stacked some chairs and were having some team powwow outside counting tips or what not–doesn’t matter, the restaurant has the facility for the customer, so they take priority (having years in the service industry myself, I am qualified to make observations). The quality of this establishment has declined over the past several years as newer venues in the region take the business. As others have said, the lack of customer service is appalling, starting from when you walk in the door and stand there without acknowledgement from the staff and absolutely no host/hostess at the podium. In the 11 times I have been here in the last year, not once have I not seated myself (this is odd because seating is usually loaded to compliment staff, meaning you don’t want to overload one for the other). Often, I’ll just give up and walk to the bar instead to sit down. Unfortunately, the level of competence, let alone positive attitude by the bartenders varies–no consistency. There is one young lady who is an absolute doll and mixes a solid cocktail right, even introduced me to another attractive guest one time because we both enjoyed the same drink–this was a fun and whimsical experience. Unfortunately, one of her male counterparts was a jerk who I came within a whisper of leaning over the bar and pulling him in by his collar because of the depths of his bias, condescension, and sarcasm towards me–it would be inappropriate to mistake my kindness for weakness. Recently though, I was mortified to see that one of their server/bartenders (a skinny, fidgety young man) was serving me clearly high and barely in control of their faculties–and I’m not talking the ‘smoked a joint high and mellowed out’ high, I’m talking having dropped X, sweating, grinding jaw, and hypersensitive to anything he comes into contact with high. I come from a conservative background, but I am pretty liberal/knowledgeable about such things–do you, but don’t do it where/when it impacts others. In this case, my friend and I had to re-explain our simple order four (4) times because he couldn’t remember or read his inebriated hieroglyphics he’d written on his notepad. He was rolling so hard, I was alarmed that I was probably going to have to perform CPR later because his BPMs were clearly through the roof and his heart could fail. What was disappointing was that the manager was shooting the breeze with him throughout the evening without apparently addressing it and doesn’t send the young man home. This doesn’t necessarily surprise me about this establishment as a friend had been offered narcotics in their bathroom before several months ago (brought it to the attention of the wait staff who just shrugged it off because there was nothing they could do and a manager was not available to discuss/gave my information and no one called)–that’s a trend that is pretty disturbing and I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from herein until they can get their act together. Most people will ask why I waited this long, and that’s simply because when they actually make the food correct (70/30 split unfortunately), it’s really good and as an optimist I try to find the good in everything, but eventually… you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.
i have had some great visits and some bad visits. some days servers are awesome and others you want to walk out before you even get your drinks. food is usually decent though priced a bit high. overall a personal pass but okay
I like the makeover, but the food and service is same old and very poor. I thought I would give it a shot since we hadn’t been there in about 9 mos, but I see it hasn’t changed
Down the drain!. My title is a description of the service in the last few years, where I’d like to put their food, and where my money went. The service was horrible. There was one bartender (Josh) that kept practicing tricks with a bottle…it was driving me crazy. He was also rude to his co-workers and tried to be funny, but was annoying. The food was not good. I ate the boneless wings and pot stickers, neither had much flavor, both tasted like frozen food. The waiters and bartenders outnumbered the customers (slow night). They spent more time yapping with each other and gossiping than they spent tending to customers. Overall a waste of money and time. What a shame…this used to be one of my favorite places. Now the food is bland, the staff is young, immature and unprofessional, and the atmosphere is not interesting. No wonder the place was empty.
I’ve been here a few times and it is the same each time. The food is typical chain food with taste to match. I had a cheese burger that had processed cheese on it, I expect this from McDonalds and not on a $10 burger. Service is marginal at its best. I avoid this place as each experience is the same.
