This great little sandwich/soup shop near the Oaks Mall is under new management as of about Sept, 2015 and it really shows. Not in a positive way at all. They have taken one of their signature soups off the regular menu (ham and bean soup). Now they only offer it on certain days and you never know what days. Today, I walked in and was happy to find my soup on the menu. When I ordered a cup of soup and bread (which I’ve done lots of times) it’s great. Today, the staff didn’t know how to add the price of a slice of bread to my order (free in the past). A more experienced (?) worker tried to sell me a loaf of bread. No. So she added a set amount to my order. It came to $6.50 for a cup of soup and a piece of bread. Outrageous!! I’ve never paid more than $4.50 in the recent past. This place is under new management and it has gone down hill fast. Doubt I’ll ever set foot in the place again. Had similar order at McAllisters next door for $3.68. Go figure.
