Best Indian Buffet Ever. The previous review just puzzles me. We recently moved back to Gainesville from Atlanta, where we were fortunate to enjoy a number of great Indian restaurants. Were curious to try Indian Cuisine for dinner this summer and have become big fans. The quality of food – very fresh and flavorful – combined with really good service make each dinner here seem like a special occasion. Our favorites are saag paneer and chicken tikka masala, but every dish has been delectable. Normally avoid lunch buffets like the plague, but tried this one with a friend last week and was wonderfully surprised. It was spotlessly clean and well-tended, with constant attention and refreshing of dishes. I could have filled up on naan, raita (some of the best I’ve had, including homemade), and chutneys but persevered and ate way too much because it was all just too good. Cucumber and cabbage salads were crisp and bright, daal is fantastic. As always, service was well done. Indian Cuisine inspires confidence – I know I could bring any of my friends here and they’d be impressed. Lots of veggie options and really low on grease. Good beers, too. Didn’t have room for dessert but mango pudding and a pastryish dish I’d never seen before were very tempting. This place makes me wish I had two stomachs! And, it’s not at all pretentious, but does have an air of sophistication – bright and well appointed.
Lunch buffet. Terrible service. No spoons, silverware, plates, refills on beverages OR food. You had to ask for EVERYTHING, and even then they made it seems like it was a huge deal to get you anything you needed to enjoy your meal. Food appeared to have a lot of food coloring it in, it wasn’t natural. Worst Indian food i’ve ever had actually. The Trader Joe’s frozen Indian dishes are better than the food here and much cheaper.
Compared to indian food in larger cities this place couldn’t compete. However, for gainesville it’s not bad.
Authentic and delicious. By far some of the best and most authentic Indian food I’ve had. Spicy, flavorful, incredibly diverse menu. Prices are a bit high for the amount of food you get but certainly not for the quality!
Their lunch buffet is to die for… And well priced! 100 percent. Go
I’m no expert in Indian food. But, I love the food here. The Korma us addictive. If I could I would eat here once a week. Great stuff.
Love it. I have tried many Indian restaurants around Gainesville and Ocala area and have not found a restaurant that I liked like Indian cuisine. I really like the amount of food they serve, the spices, even the cheesy decor. I really like the food!!
