I moved from the Southwest 3 years ago and good authentic Mexican food is what I have missed the most. This place satisfied the craving I have had for so long. The food was amazing. They have authentic Mexican sodas like Jarrito, manzanita, and jumex. Very good.
Love la tienda!! Great food, fair pricing and huge portions. The quesadillas are absolutely huge, you could split it with someone. I love the tienda attached that sells the little things we lived with daily in Mexico
Haven’t had more authentic Mexican expect for in Mexico! I don’t think you can get a bad meal at this place. Enchiladas are super tasty and made with white meat chicken! Chips are fried fresh to order, pair with some fresh guac or their amazing queso with just enough spice. Carne asada is tender and juicy. Will be back time and time again
Specific to my experience. First off, pretty good guac. Cheap, but mostly avocado. Had a hood quesadilla. A problem people and I at my table faced: poor quality meat.
Best North Central FL Mexican food.. The best Mexican food we’ve eaten in North Central FL. Didn’t care for the plastic forks or plates, but great food. Chips, guacamole, & salsa–really good. Carnitas–crispy outside, & tender inside. Flavorful rice & beans. Overall– delicious.
This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to – a gem in Gainesville. Get the fajitas!
