Momoyaki is Unique, Charming and Delicious!. I moved to Orlando last year, and let me tell you….I miss Momoyaki SOOOOO much!!!! The service was always top-notch and extremely friendly, warm and inviting. I always felt right at home when I walked through the door. My ginger peach tea always hit the spot. The thing I miss the most though is the Yaki Udon with Pink sauce! I’m going through some serious withdraws. It is hard enough to find a stir-fry udon dish that is not drenched in soy sauce, but finding anything even remotely close to Momoyaki Pink sauce…not gonna happen! It is truly one-of-a-kind and SO delicious. Next time I go to the ‘ville, I’m going to have to stock up! Thanks for all the wonderful times!
Great Great Great!. My boyfriend and I just ate here! I never write reviews for restaurants but decided to make an account after seeing all of the bad reviews for this place! I have no idea how other people didn’t like the food or the service. Our server was Rachele and she was just phenomenal. She helped us choose a Korean dish and explained just about the whole menu to help us do so. The spicy seafood soup was HUGE! She told us it was more than enough for two and boy was she right. The bowl was the size of my head! The soup was almost too spicy and next time we may order it less spicy as Rachele said we could. For appetizer, we ordered the Spicy Tuna roll. Fresh and tasty with just the right amount of crunch from the asparagus. We could see the sushi chef preparing it and maybe they made their rolls small before, but this thing was giant too! I think they only have one sushi chef on per night and from what we could see, the place wasnt that busy. I hope this changes in the future because everyone seemed really happy to work there and we certainly will be back =)
The service was great! But the food was mediocre…the seaweed on the roll was chewy and hard to bite through which I am guessing is because it was not fresh. The presentation of the food was not the most appealing to the eye, and the rolls were actually smaller than what I have been accustomed to. My boyfriend and I only went because we had a coupon, and we will never return. Their food messed our stomaches up a bit….Mahzu up the street is 1000 times better and happens to be the best sushi spot we have found yet here in Gainesville.
All i have to say is, im generally disappointed. very good service, but that didn’t make up for the bad soup, SMALL rolls, and oh yes… the 50 cent sauce. i cant be the only one who’s outraged to pay extra for condiments that i only need to cover up the taste of the food. not returning.
Lots of variety. So much to choose from and everything I’ve tried is good. Cute atmosphere. The service is great. Try the sweet roll!
Good food and service. Great quiet atmosphere with friendly staff. The sushi is super delcious and love the korean dishes. I recommend it highly for a quick alternative to the normal food off of Archer Road.
Love the new Momoyaki. I first tried momoyaki in my first year in at UF and it was exactly what I expected. A college type sushi place with cheap sushi of decent to below average quality but affordable to students. Not my type of place really and I never cared to return. A couple months ago I went back because I was in hurry to eat and didn’t want to eat Crispers again. What a pleasant surprise when I returned to this renovated momoyaki. They added a few Korean dishes and I LOVE Korean food. My favorite dish is their Korean Jjam Pong.
