Perfect dinner! Service was great and food was beautiful and delicious. We had a variety. Sushi. Tempura. Filet teriyaki. All were great.
Service is awful! Server didn’t give enough time to read the menu, was asking if we are ready to make an order every few minutes. There supposed to be some shrimps which come with the entree, but when we got the food, there were no additional shrimps with it. When we asked server, she said it was added to the entree plate, even though menu stated it was an appetizer, and the entree already contained shrimps, so they just added apetaizer to the main dish. I was still eating my sushi when they come and took my sauces away… Looked like they were in hurry even though there were just 3 tables occupied… Would NOT recommend this place to my friends and will never come back again.
Had hibachi steak dinner this evening and it was okay but far from good hibachi as the other reviewers had mentioned. The steak was bland and the white sauce was too runny. The fried rice was very good as where the veggies. Perhaps I got a rook chef… I travel for a living and eat hibachi in each town I visit. #1 hibachi IMO is Osaka in Ft. Myers Fla. Gave Shan Kishi 3.0 as the rice was really good, otherwise 2.5.
Best sushi in the Pensacola area, hands down. We eat here regularly and the service is wonderful! Sushi chef Benny is friendly and very good at what he does.
I love their sushi, the e habachi is ok but sushi is awesome! Lots of special rolls to choose from and the standards too. It’s always fresh any time I go. Fried tofu, miso soup and seafood soup are really good! Again u love the sushi, the Hibachi is good but not my favorite.
This is our go to sushi restaurant on thissideof town, and we go quite frequently. We like to sit at the sushi bar and talk to the chefs as they work. They are always very friendly and will be happy to tell you what is the freshest, and what they are making with it (even thingsthatare not on the menu). Everything is good here that I have had. They frequently have fresh uni (sea urchin) during the summer tourist season, but in the off season they will call you on the daythat they get a new shipment. When it is really fresh it is wonderful, when it is not, ummmm…..I would not eat it. We have had the hibachi on a couple of occasions for something different, and it is good, but does not stand out from any of the others in town. Sometimes the service for the regular dining room can be a bit spotty, but just go and relax, take you time. If you want faster service, the sushi bar will be your best bet. After our dinner tonight, I have to revise my rating and give this restaurant a thumbs down, they have been slipping for a long time and tonight was the last straw. We sat at the sushi bar and were ignored for the most part, most of the night. My wife resorted to waving her hand over her head to get someone to come talk to us several times, and we would never do this in most restaurants. We left still hungry and went through a drive through to get our dinner. Sorry to say……there is no longer any great sushi in Gulf Breeze and we will be going back to Pensacola for our sushi fix.
Maybe it was an anomaly, but this place was terrible. We went last night for a friend’s 21st birthday, and it literally took an hour and a half to send out ONE DISH. Our food was all brought out at different times, and twice we had to correct the waitress (who, quite frankly, didn’t fluently speak English). On top of all of that, the dishes that they brought out to us that we didn’t order, we had to pay for.I would have liked to give this place a second chance due to all of the positive hype, but frankly I wouldn’t waste my time again.. They sure do waste a lot of it.
