I am a Greek food snob, because I worked at Olympia cafe in Savannah, GA for 2 years…. Believe me, this place delivers. From the saganaki to the Greek salad to the gyro to the baklava, this place delivers authentic Greek flavors. I also had the Chicken Fresca, different than lemon chicken, but similar…. A lighter version, perhaps. Great value: Appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, and a bottle of wine for $65. Atmosphere is casual, but food tastes expensive. Service was fantastic. Our server was Evelyn. She was prompt, attentive, and knowledgable. Not to mention, Gulfport is totally charming. If you’re a tourist, you feel like you’re eating with locals.

Gulfport jewel. Found this gem of a restaurant after finding a half hour waiting list at our old outdoor dining favorite down the street. Luscious Greek dining and tavern old favorites, both indoors and on the covered patio with full service bar and beach view. We ordered appetizers for a lite lunch. Crisp vegetables over my Spinach Salad, topped with candied pecans and maple bacon vinaigrette was a welcome change . The Horiatiki Salad was a delightful Greek medley of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and onions, and olives. I believe it came with a sliced roll & butter. If you enjoy Hummus, don’t miss it here – it’s dreamy. We tried the grilled Octopus just for fun and were pleasantly surprised. Clean dining areas and restrooms. The charming wait staff and attentive owner made our visit memorable.Visited March 2012
