I ordered the Grilled Sweet Potato & Hearts of Palm withtomatillo salsa, pinto beans, roastedgarlic aioli which was awesome! 10/10. I also ordered the Zucchini & Black Beancharred corn, roasted red peppers, cilantro pesto which I rate as 6/10 because it didn’t have enough flavors for me.My husband ordered the Lamb Barbacoawithradish, tomatillo salsa, lime crema which was pretty good 8/10. He also ordered the Crispy Avocado withpico de gallo, cilantro pesto which we both rated 10/10. I mean fried avocado, Hellloooo..I ordered the rum flight: Super Aged which had the following-Papas Pilar Dark 24 Yr – Definitely on my buy list.Ron Zacapa RSV 23 Yr – mmmmm, I’ve had better.Ron Atlantico Cask Private 25 Yr. – Definitely on my buy list.
Name changed. It’s now Bomba Taco and Rum Bar. Dinner was great. Pick and choose tacos were yummy. The beef rajo entree is my favorite. Save room for coconut and caramel flan. Manager Ian was great with accommodating table and great service. Always a stop when I’m in Miami.
Food was ok, service was horrible. I called to make a reservation and when I got there, it was not documented. There was no one else waiting to be seated. A party of 7 (which did not have a reservation) came in and were seated immediately. About 4 of 5 servers were running around putting tables together and finding high chairs ect while we waited. Once we were seated, we waited for a total of 12 minutes before a waitress came by and asked if we had been greeted. She was very nice and apologized for the waitress that was supposed to be taking care of us. We ordered the Pork Tostones which were hot and delicious. Our entre was room temperature, the chicken had no taste. The rice had even less flavor. We ordered an expresso at the end of our meal that was $4 and no sugar. My husband’s bloody mary was extremely strong and lacking lime, I had to go inside and ask for 2 lime wedges and my sangria came in a little tiny glass. We will not be returning. What you are paying for is the location. I can name quite a few Cuban restaurants in Broward where the food is more authentic, the service is 100 times better and the food is flavorful and generous portions. Casa Romeu in Davie on Sheridan and 95, Havana’s also in Davie on Griffin Rd and Las Vegas, to be honest, every location of Las Vegas is great.

Creative Latin in a fun locale. Large attractive space with indoor, outdoor, and bar dining. Specialty cocktails, well-executed creative ‘nuevo Latino’ fare that is well-seasoned and layered with flavor. Small touches count, like salted and lime-flavored tostones that arrive at the table crispy and not greasy, creamy and spicy chimichurri sauce as an accompaniment to many dishes, delicious Cuban coffee served with a piece of sugar cane. And the restaurant is surrounded by a racetrack, casino, lots of shops and outdoor entertainment. This was my second time there — and I’d definitely go back.
The food was decent (bad guacamole, good tacos), but the service was laughable! After being told by 4 hostesses to ‘seat ourselves’ and shoved menus…. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to the table, once she did she apologized and then proceeded to disappear most of the meal. We had to get up for salt, hot sauce and our check. We were laughing how bad the service was, especially since the place was empty.
