Wouldn’t take order. It’s Sunday evening drove to place a togo order, saw about two tables empty and hostess said they weren’t going to take my togo order because they were to busy. Only if we were eating in. When i asked why i was told they were to busy. This is ridiculous and totally unheard about. I even said i was willing to wait, still wouldn’t take togo order.
Tried this place for the first time about two weeks ago and I’m so glad I found it. My new go-to lunch spot (well, more like my go-to-delivery lunch spot). So far I’ve ordered three times within the past two weeks and all meals have been yummy. I’ve had the shrimp pad thai, JB roll, dragon roll, and chicken pad thai (i’m a pad thai fanatic, can you tell?). My only negative comment would be that delivery takes a bit long, about an hour and a half to be exact. Other than that, I recommend this spot for any of your Japanese/Thai lunch cravings if you’re around the Hallandale area (definitely beats all the fast food restaurants taking over).
Not the same…. I used to go go to Eddie Hills pretty often and I really enjoyed. This time was different. My mom and I had there few favorites items on the menu. Knowing that we can go wrong with what we use to order we decided to pick Tom yam seafood soup as a starter. Little disappointed because it did not taste like I remember. It was actually tasteless… We try to order an appetizer but we could not get our waitress’s attention. She was walking around with food in her mouth without even looking at us! Third person from our party finally arrived and we just ordered entree. Basil duck, Pad Thai & Chicken in Garlic sauce which all of the dishes were tasty. Overall food was ok, service really bad… Such a shame, this place use to be really good – not any more…
Wasn’t impressed….. I was very excited to try this place because every time I drove by it was always packed but when i finally decided to give the place a try I left more annoyed and disappointed than anything else. For starters I ordered a plate of spring rolls (which I’ve ordered many times before) priced at $4. When we finally got the plate there were two very tiny rolls (the size of my index finger) that were cut in half…. so if you do the math that’s a $1.00 for half a roll. Secondly our waitress was very rude, only answering our questions with mmhm and never asked us how we were doing throughout the dinner. The only good thing I can say was the Sushi was decent, not the best I’ve ever had but it was edible and appropriately priced. The icing on the cake though was when i got the bill and noticed we had been charged $.50 for each sauce we ordered, which isn’t unheard of but it definitely annoyed me after having been provided poor service and receiving a ridiculously priced appetizer. Overall like I stated in the title, I was not impressed and i wouldn’t eat their again but if you want to give it a try don’t order the spring rolls and hopefully you get a waiter with some social skills.
Local and loving it.. I absolutely love this place . My bf and I go here almost weekly. The sushi is amazing, everything is so fresh. We always order edamame which is by far best in town. Haven’t tried much of the menu since we always go for sushi. We never had problems with the service until recently when I sent back the Volcano Rolland we ordered Dragon roll even though the waitress argued that we messed up the order, rolled her eyes and gave us attitude. Still that will not stop us from coming back. Don’t let one bad waitress spoil the whole restaurant. Chefs by the bar are super friendly if you do not want to be seated by the hostess , check them out you wont be disappointed.
Great food and great prices.
Yummy thai. Had the Red Curry with Shrimp – so delicious! I enjoy thai food thoroughly and I couldn’t believe I had yet to visit Eddie Hills. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their huge menu! miamiculinarytours.com
