Went late on a Saturday after being at the convention center. Great neighborhood place. Very accommodating. The house made chips are addictive. Tuna was great and the shrimp tacos are very filling and delicious. I have it on good authority that the kids’ chicken tenders are really good too.
I have to say I am very disappointed in the quality of service this restaurant provides. I actually live in the complex the Restaurant is located in and I’m quite perplexed at how they attract so many people. I have tried to eat there 4 times and every single time I am treated horribly by the entire staff. They are rude, condescending, and unreliable.I once went in there with my wife and child and SAT there for 15 minutes before I was even greeted let alone take my order we were still hungry we ordered anyway. We left an hour later feeling ripped off and upset. You’re better off going somewhere else…. Save your money.
Just Don’t go. Food was over cooked and the wine had debris in the glass when the poured it. Manager didn’t care and accused me of putting something in the wine. Horrible experience and I told her that our group would never be back. The place needs a good cleaning, new waiter and absolutely a new manager.
AMAZING. This place was so wonderful!!! I have such a strict diet and the chef actually came out and asked me a ton of questions to make sure he got it right and then made me my own custom salad and dressing!!!! It was SOOO YUMMY and complex. This has never happened to me before (usually I eat lettuce with olive oil) so it was so refreshing that the chef came out and spent the time to customize. ~LOVED IT~
A Hidden Gem. If someone asked me where to get the best food in Tampa, I would have to say here. Dufrain is that crazy dressed model, walking drunk down the runway. There are far more hits than misses, and you need to bring the wallet for quality, but in the end, you know the model is real, not a catalogue model, not that girl building her portfolio, but THE hottest girl in the world hot. Now, I hope they take all the coupons I’m ever too busy to use. ARRRggggg.
Really loved Cafe Dufrain. Ate several items on the menu and can’t wait to come back to try different ones. We ate the pork cheeks, great. Pork bolognese, wow really good. Fresh catch with cabbage bean sauce, good. Cobb salad, another winner with the dressing and smoked cheddar. Chocolate chile ice cream, very nice kick. And finally some chocolate candy ice cream thing that was Fab! Again not one complaint will definitely be back.
Awful food, awful service, and awful prices. The near $10 salad could not even be considered a side salad!I don’t mind spending $30.00 on lunch, however I could find more value off of a McDonald’s dollar menu. This place has no right being in business. Get it together you guys.
