Poorest Service Ever!. I’ve never written a review & I wish I could say that my 1st time was because the experience was so good, but unfortunately it was the worst dining experience I ever had. There were only about 4 tables being served but for some reason the 2 waitresses would walk by us about 10 times without even saying anything. I finally asked one of them if I could take the menus from under her arm. Then another 10-15 mins. past when I had to stop her to ask her if we can order. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted something to drink. When I told her & she brought it she slammed it as she was walking to another table. I told her that I was sorry but the service has been really poor. She said she was sorry because she thought the other waitress had our table. The place is so small it was not that busy so you’d think 1 of them would check with the other. After that it got worse as she had the other woman bring us our order with appetizers at the same time, got my order wrong (wanted the entree broiled salmon). I told my brother to go ahead while I waited almost 20 mins.for my food which was wrong again (brought me the Salmon melt). Meanwhile a family came, she gave them menus, water, took their order right away, cleared their table & brought them their check in a timely manner. None of that was done for us until I went to speak to the mgr. the other waitress took our dishes away. The check was never brought. I have never had a waitress be so deliberately rude as if she wanted a problem with me. This animal doesn’t need to be working serving people. I was taking my brother for his birthday(his choice) because he knew some of the musicians playing. When I lived in Tampa yrs. ago I used to go to 4GF almost every wk, & liked it very much so you can imagine the disappointment.
A drinking spot that does also serve decent food. Make no mistake – its a bar. A unique, thatched bar, but a bar. Went for lunch recently and food was alright. Had a fish sandwich which was OK, nothing outstanding. A pint would have helped I suppose. Tuesdays after work they do some sort of running and drinking thing – two activities which seem slightly opposed to each other but hey, maybe they run to justify the beer calories. A Gasparilla and St. Paddy’s Day favorite to be sure.
Fattie really likes!!!! Awesome shepards pie and fish and chips!! Nice laid back pub atmosphere and Smithwicks on tap. Can’t wait to come back.
Read the reviews, so decided to stop by during lunch, the Shepard’s Pie was really good, but was missing one thing, Guinness (had to go back to work). Worth the trip, plan to go back during the evening to enjoy some Guinness with the food.
So its a Hockey Team!. Four Green Fields picture was up front – and it was a hockey team. Parking is a bit tricky coming down the one way street. The big parking lot before you get to the pub is the parking lot – there is not one after you pass the pub. If that happens – take a left and use the alley to get back to the parking lot!Their Shepards Pie was awesome – and am in complete agreement with all who gave it good marks. What a great Irish Pub – one of those places you go to and know you will return to time and again. The only thing missing in this Irish pub was a TV with football or rugby being played.
The best Guinness in town! Go on Friday and Saturday nights to see the surly Pat Dunlea and I guarantee a great time! The food is especially good for what you’d expect from a bar- try the Hogan’s Goat which is a goat cheese bruschetta or the Shepherd’s Pie!
The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was very chill. They have Smithwicks on tap which is great. I had the Shepherd’s Pie which was expertly seasoned and the sausage and lentil soup which was also quite good. I would certainly dine there again.
