Customer service by the hostess was rude and sub-par. Too busy talking to the leathery blonde manager about where to sit people. Contrarily, a waiter offered us a menu on our way out the door on the channelsideopted to eat elsewhere where paying customers are acknowledged with dignity and respect.
Nov 28, 2016. Just happened to get off the water taxi at the foot of their stairs and decided to stop for a meal. Waiter guidance to the specials was so good, the we didn’t even look at the menu. Food was exceptional. Wish it had been closer to go back to. Might get a bit noisy as the club within or next door ramps up through the evening
A very upscale atmosphere with excellent service. The food here was well prepared and serving sizes were good. If I had not ventured to the beach areas of Clearwater and Indian Shores I would have assumed the food here was very fresh. The grouper was cooked properly, not as light and flaky as available on the gulf side across the bay. Pricing here is also about 10% higher than the gulf area like Clearwater Beach. For what we could find near the Convention Center, a very nice and well managed restaurant; pkus on the water. Casual dress was welcomed even though the staff is well attired.
I met some co-workers at Jackson’s after a 5k charity run to wish one of my friends good luck at her new job. While I was finishing my salad we were forced to get up from the table so that they could turn the dining room into a nightclub. Then because I was in running clothes the manager literally tried to have me removed from the room. I still had a drink from dinner in my hands!! We had just spent over $2,000 on dinner. Outside the window of the dining room on the porch were go-go dancers in bikinis dancing on the tables. I was asked to leave because I was in shorts and tennis shoes. This place is far from the upscale dining venue they pretend to be.
Food is adequate (I had sashimi dinner), service seriously needs improvement. Long wait time, and it is by no means certain that you are brought what you ordered.
We showed up during Gasparilla weekend for dinner…. charged 10 bucks to get in! Each X3! After paying and getting in…. quoted over an hour wait time to eat…. no refunds on cover charge! Had two rounds of drinks X3 $60 later then told by the servers outside we have t ok move for other reservations as we’re waiting for our reservation. I then 1 hour into our wait finally went to the hostess after witnessing 5 open tables in ONE side of the restaurant sit empty for 15 minutes without being sat I demanded to be sat… this whole night has cost me and my friends over $300 to eat drink and get in just to be asked to move and wait wait wait while the busses are slow as sit and 22 open seats are available not being used as hostess continues to quote 1.5 hr wait times. This a a review from year 10 year plus Rough Riders who frequent this establishment and are here yearly and always are disrepected dealing with immature untrained staff.
Pleasant waterfront view. Waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic! Had the coconut shrimp appetizer and grouper, and it was delicious.
