Food Great, Manager a jerk!. Every time Ive ordered from here the food has been great. Service is great! However today the male owner was yelling at his waitresses on the floor. He was cussing and customers could here. Total turn off. Probably won’t go back. You discipline in private not in the dining room where its full of customers. That is so unprofessional!!!!!
Great breakfast. Locally owned and MUCH better than first watch! On the same block even, take the few extra steps!
Greek hospitality. Good food, unpretentious, good service, owner takes pride in making sure you are satisfied, and is incredibly hospitable.
Never again. Came in on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted by the owner. I think her name was Georgia. She seemed nice (at first) our waitress came and was very pleasant the coffee was good but our food was a little late in arriving so we notified the waitress and noticed she told the manager. He promptly came over and apologized. We assured him that it was fine and were just curious as to what the hold up was. He told me he would go check. After that I noticed him run to the back and I actually heard him screaming at the cooks and at our server. I couldn’t believe it. I felt so bad for saying anything I actually apologized to the server. Our food eventually arrived and it was not worth the wait. Bland overcooked omelettes. Fruit was rotten and the sausage was burnt to a crisp. I noticed an additional charge on my check for the fruit that was already supposed to be 1.50 extra, but there was another charge of 1.50. When I asked about the charge the owner came over and said that she was making sure that we were charged for our fruit. I think she was hoping we wouldnt notice. I can’t believe it. I would never return because she is obviously trying to overcharge her patrons. Service was great but those owner/managers are shady and rude to customers and employees and food is sub par. Never again.
My Sunday Spot. I’ve read a couple reviews critical of Samaria’s owner, Georgia. I don’t get it. These people admit the food and service are terrific, but they are griping that Georgia didn’t seat them upon arrival. So what! She greets every customer with a warm smile and a big hello. Do you really need to be walked to your table when it’s only ten feet away from the door? Additionally, when she is not slammed, she does often walk you to your seat, and usually makes the rounds after you are served to check up you. I have never gone there without Georgia asking me if everything is okay once the food has arrived. She has even gone out of her way to make suggestions and prepare dishes personally for me that are not on the menu. In the two years since my Mom passed away, Samaria Cafe has become a Sunday morning father-daughter tradition. Georgia has no idea, but it’s amazing how much good food, and especially a friendly face, have raised our spirits. Thanks, Georgia.
Where to begin? When we walked in the hostess who I later found out was the owner would not get up to seat us because she was eating food, which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Georgia is her name handed us menus and utensils as she pointed to a booth for us to sit at. As we ate I observed that Georgia not once got up off her seat to sit any of the guests. She would point and hand them menus or have the nearest server to her to have them do it for her. As we waited for our food Georgia’s husband Steve the other owner talked our ear off about how great his life was. Again extremely unprofessional. Even after our food was dropped off he did not walk away from the table for us to enjoy our lunch. He talked about money and taxes. I wanted to enjoy my lunch and the company of the person I was having lunch with but Steve made sure that did not happen. The only reason that I would ever return to that restaurant is because the food was good and the service was awesome. I’ve never met two more unprofessional owners of a restaurant. I feel for the employees who work at Samaria Cafe
Samaria Cafe. Wow!!
