Eat before going!. The food is terrible. We’ve eaten at Guido’s Donatellos so we know good Italian. If you do make the mistake and go there hungry, the little pizza counter at the back is your best bet. The location is great, and they use to have some type of classy music before, however the music has deteriorated too… . I gave it a second chance, and I’ve now eaten there under both ownerships, and I can honestly say the food has gone from bad to worse and the entertainment from good to poor.
That’s Amore – If this is love, I would rather die alone. Just had dinner at That’s Amore. And here is my review. Save your money and don’t go here…ever. The place is not good and the General Manager/owner should switch professions. First let me start that our 4 top sat at folding 6′ banquet table made out of plastic. Yes it had a tablecloth but a restaurant should have a standard table especially if you are spending $20 for a small piece of lasagna served in an old rarebit. (Yes, i am in the foodservice industry so when the owner reads this he can understand I can see by his tabletop how he doesn’t care about the presentation of his food). In addition to the cheap dinnerware, we had mismatched flatware and heavy cheap wine glasses. We ordered soup and a salad that never came and eventually told the waiter to forget about bringing to us. The table behind us and next to us were seated after us and got their meal before us. When I asked what happened, the manager told me that they had reservation and that the kitchen got slammed all at once. I don’t know why having a reservation would get them their food quicker when I heard them ordering their meal after us. On top of that, because it was Gasparilla, they shortened the standard spaghetti and meatballs by 1 meatball and also raised the prices for the Gasparilla crowd. The service was the worst service I ever had in a Tampa restaurant. Let me also mention that the rest room was filthy. I would ask that everyone stay away from this place. A number of people that live on Harbour Island told me the same thing that I am telling you but I didn’t listen. I am a local. I live within a stone’s throw of this place. Let him try to make a living servicing the people who come to town for conventions and let’s keep the locals out of this place. Maybe they will eventually have to close the doors. Please, please, please, choose a different restaurant.

Dreadful. Terrible service, food was greasy and oily, took 30 ‘min for a glass of water, as a tampa local I would NeVER recommend this place omg I would rather eat at carrabbas and even Olive Garden (yuck) any day over this place
Awesome Food and Entertainment. What a terrific evening! My date and I made a reservation…arrive and were seated by the host. Our server,Jamey was both informative and made suggestions to us as there were several specials of the day. We ordered…she the Veal Marsala and I ordered the Bolognese…it was the BEST I have ever had- Outstanding. My girlfriend commented her Veal Marsala was also excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of Justin Cab…then enjoyed a cannoli and Italian Cheesecake,,,also served by our waiter promptly and efficiently . Cudos to whoever hired this gentleman…great server. We enjoyed a great Jazz band…a beautiful waterfront view of the Tampa skyline…just a terrific place to celebrate our important event. The owner, he introduced himself as the owner, came over to insure we were treated well…asked us about our meal and the service…again, we received more than I ever expected . This is why we will visit again.

Awesome!. On a business trip…a friend recommended That’s Amore’ and WOW! What a terrific experience. My wife joined me on this trip…and we brought 2 friends with us. From the very start, James was a terrific server…he had us at the top of his priority list…even though he seems to have 5 or so other tables. He suggested the Appps, Crab Cake, Calamari and Rolotinis…They were the best!Now to the main courses….I always try a new restaurants Marsala…and this Weal Marsala was littery a mely in your mouth experience. My wife has a beautiful Grouper entree…she even added a lobster tail….very moderately priced for its size. Our friends were also happy as well. After a terrific bottle of Cab….Jaimi suggesed desserts…and this was a MUST DO! Tiramisu was the BEST I HAVE HAD…hands down,,,,my wife had a choccolate mousee…our friends had the bread pudding and flan. The owner came by twice…really seemed to have his hands and head focused on the food and the service…I saw him everywhere. So…from my family…CHEERS! You truly havea special restaurant///complete with LIVE MUSIC…what a great experience Saturday night.We will DEFINATELY be back! Ciao
