Food -3, service- 4, Value-3. We enjoyed our time, we may go back but won’t be recommending it to anyone. It’s a no frills sports bar inside the Embassy Suites downtown so it’s a great location and the food came quickly. I had the Garlic Lemon Mahi and it was good enough to order again. My husband had the Blackened Shrimp Mac and Cheese. It was so so and very predictable and a little too over sauced. We ordered a side of Sweet Potatoe fries that were still cold in the center. It was a relaxed place and could be good for groups and families.
Head North on Franklin Street. Hotel food is hotel food so head a block and a half North on Franklin and go to Hattrick’s Tavern. Get’s very busy during happy hour and before and after hockey games.
Horrible, horrible, horrible. The best part of this meal was when it left my body and you could feel its progress as it was tantamount to swallowing a hockey puck whole, and aforementioned hockey puck was encased in an overlarge clown shoe. The fries were soggy leftover battered wax for which no amount of salt, vinegar, catsup, or mayo ( for the Europeans and Qubcois) could render edible. For such a small menu, you would think that they must specialize in expert execution of comfort food. The service was also poor and slow. Walk across the bridge to the Publix supermarket instead if you are stuck looking for lunch at the convention center.
Just your typical over priced hotel restaurant. The menu is very limited. The restaurant cooks for room service for the hotel and the room service menu is more extensive than the menu in the actual bar. They also boast a full bar, but do not have a drink menu. The service is pretty good, but if you are staying in the Tampa embassy suites, just plan ahead to eat out on the town rather than in the hotel.
Love the FOOD. There is a great variety in the menu. Something to please everyone.
