Not Impressed! Very Disappointed!?. Hello!Sorry to say that four of us ladies were here for lunch Dec. 30 2014.Very Disappoointed!Tea was cold!Sandwiches were just thrown on plate ! Most unappetizing !Bread was stale or previously frozen!Was not worth the money or the time .Will not recommend this place.For the establishment to add on their own tip is poor taste!Would definitely suggest they become a little more particular in the above lacking areas!Really a disappointment as I was taking my friends as a treat.People that did not use a groupon coupon were served more eloquently! Why?
Quaint. I’ve been here several times and live in the area. Every time I have been to this establishment my friends and I have had great service. I’m not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. I’ll def be back.
Thank goodness for good friends or the day wits have been ruined!. My best friend had her bridal shower here this past weekend. The chef was very rude! The food was not what was expected. We were rushed to drink,eat and leave. The chef said openly y it was supposed to be her day Of so we Had to hurry. The owner negated on a deal for the time frame agreed upon. We were supposed to be aloud in early to set up they kept the door locked until the time of the party. Then licked us out immediately not even giving us time to make sure we had all Of or belongings. Luckily the bride to be was beautiful and still enjoyed her day thanks to the good company. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!
Hurtfully disappointing. My experience with this place went very sour. I learned that they absolutely do not practice good business ethics. They are insensitive and obviously do not have their customers best interest in mind. On Satuday March 29th (my daughters birthday) we had one of the worse rainstorms of the year and several tornado warnings. I and my family as well as my daughters accompanying guest were all trailing each other on the highway going to the Tearoom. Keep in mind that we live an hour and 10 minutes away. As we were on our way there I made call to the tea room to let them know we were coming but we would be late because of the road conditions and we were literally driving 20 miles an hour. well as we were on the roads they began to get even worse. we began to see accidents right in front of us and we felt like our safety was being put at risk. so we made the daunting decision to turn around and go home on my baby girls birthday. the roads were just too bad. we called to let them know and we asked if we would be able to get a refund. After getting nowhere with several different people. They said they would call us back the next day. They were still very adamant about not refunding us our money. But they said we could reschedule for a $35.00 fee. Being a owner of a couple of businesses of my own and seeing how dangerous the weather conditions were, i would have gladly accepted their cancelation to ensure the safety of my customers. Its business and that is all a part of being a business owner. And not to mention, they were rude on the phone and lied about not speaking with me, although I have the call logs to prove it. They basically called me a lier and had the nerve to all me sweetheart. They said I should be grateful they were allowing me to reschedule. (UNBELIEVABLE) I will never Ever even consider this place again. I had to deal with my 7 year old not having her princess party on top of their rudness. PLEASE BEWARE
Lunch for 4. Saw a Groupon for this place, tho I live in New Port Richey thought what a cute place and wanted to try it. My mother,daughter and granddaughter headed out for a first time girls lunch together . We were seated as soon as we came in , I think our seaver was Ellen. i was excited by the tea list we were given to choose from, so many choices . We were each given our own pot of tea !! the soup was sooooooooooooooo good, the high tea of sandwiches and deserts were wonderful, only wish we had more !!! I enjoyed the mixture of sandwiches I had never had, My granddaughter didnt like the sandwiches but wanted more soup. The server brought it out fast, we each had a few pots of tea. I was surprised not to be charged extra for the soup and extra tea. The receipt showed a tip for 18% which was way to low for the server, so we left her extra. They have teas , tea pots, and things to buy, we each bought teas and my mom a tea pot. We will drive and hour for me and an hour and a half for my daughter next month for lunch without a groupon. I would only suggest the server offer menus to groupons dinners to see what else you offer, I had to ask. and glad I did, I already know what im having next time
Disappointed. Recently went there and I won’t return or recommend. Had a reservation and had no problem getting my seat (unlike several others that came in with reservations made and not having their seats available). It was a busy time of day but there was really no excuse for the length of time to be served and lack of service provided. When we were finally approached by a server 15-20 minutes after sitting down, we ordered our teas. I asked the server for cream, non-sugar sweetener and honey. 5-10 minutes later we get the honey and sweetener but no cream. Got the cream and began drinking our teas. Our server got our soup out in decent timing and soup was great (although we did ask for salt and pepper and never got it). Then came the waiting. We were sat at 12 and didn’t get our food until 1:30! The food was subpar; the quiche was burnt on the bottom, the sandwiches had such a small amount of filling that all we tasted was the bread. The desserts were delicious (I give them that). I felt the service was awful and was disgusted when the server brought a check out that had me paying 18% gratuity! I was so over the place that I paid and got out of there. I drove an hour to get there so it was a waste of my day, money and girl’s day out. I will drive to Tampa where I have had much better food and service for my next tea time.
Wonderfully different!. I have visited the tea room several times, and have never been disappointed. The food is wonderfully prepared and truly delicious. The unique combinations that make up sandwiches are scrumptious! The soups are YUMMMMM!! The quiche is light and delicate. The atmoshere is quaint and very conducive to girl talk! Truly delightful and not to be missed!
