Went to breakfast today after seeing ad in local paper. Closed. Note on door closed due to emergency. Note was not dated so unsure when was really closed and when plan to reopen.

No Surprise Diner. Excellent breakfast and lunch in the summer with dinner during season. Inexpensive good food, boars head meats for their sandwiches and a variety of dinner specials to include a Friday Fish Fry on Fridays with all u can eat. Experienced ladies that are usually very friendly and talkative liven the place up. Decent food at a decent price.
Really a great diner!. We have been here about 4-5 times since it opened in the former Brook House location. We have pretty much loved the food each time we have gone in. We have had one time where service wasn’t the best-but usually it is very good. The best food here is the corn beef and cabbage dinner (the best anywhere)-Monday $6.95, the spaghetti and meatball (Tuesdays is all you can eat all day for $4.95) and the Friday fish fry-all you can eat $6.95 (prices are subject to change-check ahead). Plus, the country fried steak with gravy, melts in your mouth-never had such a tender piece of chopped steak anywhere! In our opinion the food to pass on is: Chicken Marsala and the Greek Salad. The Greek Salad across the street at Greek City Cafe is the best around. Fridays can be a wait for the fish fry. They have daily specials and also serve breakfast for $2.95 (2 eggs, bacon, home fries & toast). Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.
