I have been to D.B.Pickles maybe about a dozen times over the years. The food is good, the service is average, the wait staff is ok depending on who serves you. If you want faster service, order from the specials menu. If you order from the main menu, you will have a longer wait. Sometimes, they are a bit lackadaisical when greeting and seating people.
Terrible. Since when does one charge for something that wasn’t touched? I told my server it wasn’t edible, and was still charged. I’m a server, and I’ve never charged someone for something they don’t ingest, especially if they said they didn’t like it?! The chicken was overcooked, and dry also. That she did take off of the check. But somehow, I spent nearly $40, and didn’t have lunch.
Was great, now mediocre . What happened? Quantity brings people , quality brings them back. Servers are sketchy and territorial. Should be shared investment and engagement between staff. Again what happened here? I never EVER recommend it, as it is now that inconsistent.
Decent made from scratch food. Good service though hostess was slow. Huge portions. Kids 10 and under eat free on Wednesday and Sunday one child per adult. Great for families. Would go again.
Not what they make it out to be. We went for the first time for dinner, and while it’s clean the food is all either frozen ( I specifically asked about the fish and other items) or out of a can or plastic container. Frozen hamburger patties, onion rings and they say the desserts are baked on premise but they truly look like Sysco products. I had flavorless onion rings, my husband had a flavorless burger, the side salad had yellow lettuce and bland dressing. Being that this restaurant is two miles from the beach frozen seafood should not be served. Overall we would never go back, the service was good but the food was terrible.
Liked it. I ate at db pickles with my mom And. She.and.I enjoyed it . We really liked The pickle bar items. And I ordeted The bd.ruben with fries loved it and.she ate corned beef sandwich And she loved it.. And.she knows good Deli . She’s an 82 year old from mott And hester Street NYC , And she knows Deli.
I live so close to db pickles that our family walks there. I have eaten there and had take-out over 100 times and have never been disappointed in the food quality or portions.
