IDH. Went there for breakfast 3/27/15 at 8 AM. Place was empty and was told to sit anywhere. Left after being ignored for over 15 minutes. No one even looked up when I left, this including what appeared to be a female manager. Never again.

Beautiful atmosphere, amazing baked goods, and reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and as capable as a Florida staff can be; this is not the right state to expect five star service, even in five star restaurants. We will recommend Giorgio’s.

POOR SERVICE!. Today I had the WORST service ever provided to me at a restaurant…(1) I stood in line and waited 10 minutes before anyone made the effort to take my order. What really ticked me off was that the employees would make eye contact with me but then look away. They all stood there (clearly the place was not busy) but didn’t even acknowledge me! (2) When someone finally helped me, they forgot about my order. After 30 minutes of waiting, I flagged someone down to check on my food which was then hurriedly taken out. When I looked down, the pizza was burnt! The waitress clearly noticed the state of my pizza but just shoved it into a pizza box and handed it to me.

What a disappointment. My friend and I were visiting from Canada and we had always heard great things about Giorgio’s. We walked in on a Monday afternoon when it seemed a bit slower. We stood in front of the take-out cashier for about 10 minutes with employees making eye contact and just walking by us without acknowledgment. After we decided what we were getting to get, we again stood at the cashier for another 10 minutes with no one talking to us. Eventually someone who was very rude (maybe having a bad day?) took our order and told us to have a seat while we waited. They had an open kitchen where we could see our pizza being prepared. We watched them put it in the oven and that’s it. 30 minutes passed and we were still waiting, wondering when our pizza would be done. If it was really busy, I would have understood but it wasn’t and other diners that came in after us were getting their food. Because we were on a time crunch we went up to ask how much longer it would be. The lady rolled her eyes at us and went over to the oven where we witnessed her look in the oven, throw her hands up in the air and quickly try to grab the pizza. It was CLEARLY burnt when she took it out but she ignored it and tried to cut the pizza which took some force since it was a crisp. She then tossed it in the to-go box and shoved it into my friend’s hands. My friend and I both have experience in the service industry so we are well aware that some times, people just have bad days. But today, every single employee there never acknowledged us and the ones that did were extremely rude. If we weren’t worried about missing our bus we would have stayed and asked to speak to the owner/manager and complained. I have never had such a bad experience. Such a disappointment for our last meal in Florida.

Go for the view …. What’s not to love about yummy, warm crusty bread and a beautiful waterside view? This is a favorite breakfast spot for locals. Fresh omelettes, french toast and waffles all under $10 (with coffee included). We tried the Portobello Mushroom & Veggie Omelette this weekend and were not dissapointed. $7.50 gets you a huge omelette absolutely overstuffed with portobello mushrooms and peppers, a side of home fries and a warm toasted roll. Although we didn’t try it, the French Toast was $4.50 and smelled wonderful. We also took home a cheese danish and tiramisu for later and both were delicious. Great spot to relax and just watch the boats go by. I agree with two previous reviewers; one – the vibe at the Bistro is not at all like the restaurant and two – the service is usually ‘meh’. That being said, the food is fresh and the view is lovely. Where else can you sit on the water, enjoy the breeze and not pay thru the nose?

To add to my previous review. I think the customer is always right. Take your staff for lessons in how to treat a customer. They suck at their jobs.24 Jan, 2012The service was horrible. The waiter was rude. The food came out wrong and they didn’t want to remake it.

Awful service!!! Maybe you could smile or even be attentive and helpful. Not much help from the Manager either and this coming after dropping over $200 the night before at related Giorgio’s. Thanks for nothing !!
