GREASY. Every single thing we ordered here was greasy…. except the wine! Greasy pizza, greasy pasta, greasy broccoli.
The predominant word here is authenticity! When you step through the doors of Lino’s you are entering into the taste of Rome itself. The word amore and food are interchangeable which is confirmed by theflavor experience. The menu is small yet mighty. It is obvious that any criticism is from local competition. Taste is the only judge so experience the love for yourself.
Best pizza in Hollywood. The best pizza I’ve had since returning from Rome. You will not be dissappointed.
Head to Mauro’s down the street instead. Picked up some takeout from Lino’s, and the pizza was worse than what I’d make at home with Publix pizza dough and canned sauce. Granted it was a holiday, but the place wasn’t hectic or busy enough to justify such weak food. Instead it was overstaffed and really nice-looking. They charged us twelve bucks for two slices and a slice of dessert pizza (or something?). Seemed a bit stiff, since the slices weren’t half as filling or as tasty as a slice from Mauro’s or Pizza Rustica down the street, and the dessert pizza was basically inedible. I see a bunch of positive (maybe paid?) reviews for the place, so maybe we caught them on a bad night? But at the same time you could tell the food was made with non-fresh, budget-minded ingredients (again, unlike the local competition), so even a better preparation would only do so much. The crust was paper thin and caked in flour, the sauce too tangy and unseasoned, and the cheese just sort of flat-tasting. From now on, I’ll be sticking to the other local pizza joints.
Real italian pizza…very good!! I’m italian and i enjoyed the place and the food.
