We headed to Lola’s to celebrate our anniversary and it was exquisite from start to finish. The dining area is small with nice decor, and effortlessly classy. Every single staff member we interacted with was genuinely pleasant. We started with the Baked Brie, which was absolutely divine. My husband ordered the Grilled Filet Mignon. It came out a little under for his liking. More medium rare than medium, but it was whisked away and quickly returned perfectly cooked. It was melt in your mouth perfection. The truffle sauce was delicious, and the au gratin potatoes were fantastically cheesy. My chicken milanese was hot and crispy, pounded thin and tender. The arugula salad was nicely dressed with an ample amount of vinagraitte and shaved Parmesan. Their apple and pear cocktail was fresh, lovely pear flavor and no skimping on the Grey Goose.Prices were a tad on the high side, but the quality and service were well worth the money spent. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Lola’s!

Rude and Incompetent Host. Friday night was going to be great. A free local concert at Arts Park but first a delicious dinner at Lola’s on Harrison. We were meeting another couple and introducing them to the place and then crossing the street for a nice glass of wine at the local wine shop. We walked into Lola’s and were greeted immediately by the host. He asked whether we were there for dinner and if we had a reservation. We answered yes but no reservation. He scoffed and we wondered why since there were plenty of empty tables. We noticed 4 tables with patrons and the rest of the tables were empty and no place cards indicating they were reserved. We asked if we needed one since it was relatively empty and he snobishly stated that they were on their way and the only place he could have us was at the bar or at the hightops that he would squeeze together. We opted for the hightops. At the end of the meal, we paid and looked around. There were still 4 empty tables that we could have been placed at instead of the narrow hightops. As we got up to leave, the host walked away towards the back and didn’t bother to apologize for his miscalculation nor thank us for our business. We crossed the street to the wine shop. a wine glass in, we noticed that same host seating people in the wine bar at a very comfortable table for four and offering them Lola’s food. WE HAD NO IDEA THAT THIS WAS AN OPTION!!!!We were very upset and disappointed that our eveniong had started off so negatively because of ONE STUPID IDIOT. We will never again recommend or go to Lola’s on Harrison. Too bad, the food is decent.
