We all got very sick after eating here. Their cool tables are not turned on for the sushi. I asked and was told that it does not need to be kept cold. I’m no scientist; however, I believe that raw seafood should be kept cold and this is the reason why we all became violently Ill.
This new buffet location is quite spacious with plenty of seating. It is located in the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza on Taft street, near Flippers Cinema. Now I can get my buffet fix after a movie without driving farther west into Pembroke Pines. They serve the standard Asian / American fare that can be found at most Asian-style buffets with the addition of having a teppanyaki grill in the back. Here, you can choose your ingredients from a modest selection of vegetables and meat choices including egg, pork, beef, and shrimp. Your choices will then be cooked as you wait. Previous to going to this buffet, I read a write-up stating that you could get okonomiyaki here. I didn’t ask an employee, but I did not see the correct ingredients to make okonomiyaki. Sushi, Pizza, Roast Beef, Cold Salads, Desserts, Chinese Dishes, Soups, Appetizers, and Dim Sum round out what is there to choose from. Most of the Chinese-style dishes seemed to have a lighter flavor more indicative of Japanese-style cooking. If you want to go there on a weekend, I recommend going on a Saturday. On Sunday, they charge the higher dinner price all day.
