Eat Here, 5315 Gulf Dr., Holmes Beach, was temporarily closed by inspectors after nearly 40 roaches (dead and alive) were discovered. Tried this place one time, way overpriced and had such an attitude I would never recommend it to anyone. I think the only reason they are still in business is because they have a steady supply of new tourist to fleece.
Refused service! My family and I stay here on the island a few times a year. We have our usual restaurants that we go to, but decided to venture out and try something new, and Im very sorry that we did. We have a small, very well behaved pup with us this visit. This evening we called ahead to see if we had to make a reservation and also to ask if they were dog friendly. The woman said they did not take reservations and yes they accept dogs in the outside seating area. Also, I went on my go to website BringFido, before calling to make sure that they were dog friendly and they are. Now, not only are they posted on the website, but there is also a review from a customer that has dinned there with their dog. The review is only a two star, saying they did not like the food…. should have taken the advise and not have gone. Anyway, we did go and in the outside area there was only one family dinning and four empty tables. A waitress waiting on the other dinners was walking back inside and we quickly asked her if we could have a seat and she said sure. A gentleman, Im assuming the manager, then explains to us that they do NOT allow dogs, and that he could not let us eat there with our pup. We informed him that we called ahead and that his staff member assured us that dogs are allowed. He simply brushed it off and said he would be sure to address it with his staff. I even showed him where his restaurant is posted as dog friendly and he knew nothing about it. It is evident that there is little to no communication nor consistency at this establishment. I could not believe that they would turn away business on weekend when it was clear that they were not busy. This expirence was not only embarrassing for our family to be refused service, but incredibly frustrating. We will NEVER return to this poor excuse of a restaurant pup or no pup.

Eat Here, Anna Maria. Our second time here. The service was good & the food was excellent. We enjoyed the portion options, as well as the vegan & gluten free options. The smoked fish dip appetizer was outstanding. The only downside, everything was very rushed. We’d hardly made a dent in our appetizer when our entrees arrived. We noticed this happened to other tables too. It is a small restaurant but the patio cleared out once we got there & really didn’t see any reason to be rushed. After a long day in the sun the last thing we want to do is wolf down a meal.
Food was delicious. We ordered yard bird. And shrimp/lobster tacos. Both were great. Service was very good as well. Higher price for the amount of food you receive but still worth going at least once while you’re on Anna Maria island!
Service was terrible……we were a party of 8 and not everyone received their food at the same time. The waiter forgot to deliver food/drink that was ordered. The napkins were really kitchen towels that left a lot of lint especially on dark clothing. Food was not that good and portions were ver small. None is us in our party would ever go again…….we were all disappointed.
Food was ok, service was not. Not all meals came out together, 5 minute wait for last plate. Small portions. Creative menu, server not very friendly.
