Incredible Little Restaurant. What a find! On a trip through the Everglades we stumbled onto this small restaurant and had one of the best meals of our entire vacation. We spent 10 days in Naples, Florida dining at top reviewed places there, including the Ritz-Carleton, and let me assure you, they have nothing on Chef Jodrick Ujaque. His food is exceptional and the menu is diverse…there is something for every taste. We had the pork loin chops with herb ginger sauce, the salmon with honey miso glaze and pork mofongo followed by all three desserts that featured that evening. All the dishes were outstanding. And as fresh and locally sourced as you can get. The menu and the specials are decided based on what is available at the market that day. After dinner the chef came out and visited with us and I can’t say we were surprised to learn that Chefs on the Run has been invited to the prestigious Food Network South Beach Wine & Food festival in Miami.

Best little find! After the habanero chicken w/ a white lemon dip, we split the tripleta. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten! I want to go there again to try something else 🙂

Highly recommended. The chef creates his own delicious meals and the taste and quality show it. The attention and service was great. As a vegetarian I had the veggie burger with a side of chipotle Mac & Cheese, all of which was great and satisfying! We got to taste the guava creme brle, also delicious, and the lentil soup. I have nothing but good reviews. Great find!

Awesome, awesome, awesome! So good we went both nights we stayed in Homestead. Owner was very helpful explaining dishes and the food is incredible and reasonably priced. I can’t recommend them enough.

Finally a restaurant in Homestead worth visiting regularly. The husband wife team take so much pride and they really have something going. The menu selection is eclectic and amazing. Because of our large family, I got to try several dishes and EVERYTHING was delicious. Even my little picky eaters walked out with a full stomache. One tip, make a reservation or show up early because the place is very small. Also, don’t be fooled by the decor, you’re going there to eat anyway. No doubt, this little Jem will shine for a long time. I recommend all Homestead residents to give it a try and if you’re stopping by on the way to the FL Keys, this will add spice to your trip. Enjoy!
