Quaint and cozy. My husband and I went on a Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (right as they opened), we didn’t see any dogs or cats and the staff was knowledgable and professional. I ordered the Homestead Crabcakes and my husband settled on the Meatloaf. We were satisfied with both dishes. I ordered the Carrot Cake for dessert, it was good but it had too much nutmeg for my taste. My husband ordered the Blueberry Cobbler, it was served with Vanilla Ice Cream and it was outstanding. The place reminds you of old Florida, the food is just good homemade fare. The chef changes the menu often and has specials every day for lunch and for dinner. We will be back soon.
Horrible food and service. Please stay away from this business.. During the evening, the place gets rather noisy, the service is rude and the food is not very good. The dinner prices are rather high, 14.95 and higher considering the food and service. Also, if you have a problem with animals, don’t go at all because there are cats roaming around everywhere (even inside) and they might just decide to jump in your lap.The surrounding neighborhood is very questionable; you are just a few blocks from a very rough, crime-filled area.
