Only place in town for good bbq. Their spinach maria is to die for! Only hushpuppies I will eat and never had anything I didn’t love. Their pulled pork is great as is the catfish and beef. Anyone who thinks there is someplace better to go—well, those chain places with crummy food are always open for them 😛
Great food….fun, family atmosphere.. I have never had a bad experience at Ron’s Bar-B-Que. The food is always great. Awesome size portions for the money & the whole family loves eating here. Love the friendly and courteous staff. The only complaint I have is that they are closed on Sunday & Monday… Would be great to have BBQ on a Sunday afternoon or Monday night for football.
Disappointed. We were there over 2 hours, after 15 minutes of getting the ADULTS food, we finally recieved the 2 children’s meals. Even though my children were eating off of MY PLATE, bc they were hungry. I was not impressed with the pork platter…..pork was mushy and tasted like baby food. The hushpuppies were burnt, and hard as a rock. Which is comical because our waitress RAVED about the hushpuppies there! I could not even bite into mine! My husbands catfish was dried out and tasteless. For a family of 4 who spent over 50 dollars for dinner……..next time I will go somewhere else.
Ron’s has big salads and great pork platter. A fav place. Good waitresses too
Not a great choice for wings.. Wow do I feel awful. I suggested that we go out and get some wings tonight. We picked Ron’s Bar-B-Que because we had good wings there before, but it had been a while since we had gone. Ron’s was not to busy so we ordered a full order of onion rings and 20 med. wings. It took about 15min. to get the onion rings and 20min. to get the wings, so we drank our sweet tea and had free refills while we waited. The problem the onion rings were covered with a thin , bland layer of dried out tasting batter, uck! The sauce served with covered them up nicely so they were eatable! The wings were so wet and gooey that the enjoyment of eating them was lost with the first bite. Thank goodness we ordered blue cheese and celery they could not mess that up. The truth is by the time you figure out that it cost us $11. per person we wish we would of made the drive to a differant place. We will not make this mistake again. The Bar-B-Que place must have turned into a strictly stick with Bar-B-Que only menu choice. We will remember this is off the list for onion rings and wings in the future.
Love the food!! Spinach Maria is the best! I always come back for more when I am in town!
Best Restaurant in Town!. My husband and I went to Ron’s for our anniversary, after someone at work told him we should go. We had two beers a piece, each got the pork platter, and we spent $20 (tip not included). Since then we have gone back probably 10 times. Our kids love it there! My husband always gets the pork platter. I have gotten the pork platter, and the BBQ chicken, both of which are amazing! The amount of food you get for the price is amazing, and we never leave hungry! As long as Ron’s is open we will continue to go!
