Horrible Food and Front of house. The meal was horrid, I could the not even chew the sesame chicken. I complained and was told I should have ordered it as white meat. She did not even tell management, but then again the oriental lady at the front was running around the restaurant yelling over and over at other staff. Bad Food, Bad Staff and I will never go there again. Please do not make the mistake I did by taking your family into this hell hole.
This was the most disgusting Chinese I’ve ever eaten. Not only did the workers yell back and forth the whole time we were there, but the food was so chewy it was inedible. When we told our waitress that our food was chewy she told us next time to ask for fresh chicken. What were we eating then? I shouldn’t have to specify that I want fresh chicken. The restaurant was also not very clean. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Oh and if you were wondering they will close in July for a few days to get rid of termites….
Disappointing Dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us but we won’t recommend to anyone else. My husband’s Crystal Shrimp was only so-so, but my General Tso’s Chicken was virtually inedible. It was tough and very overcooked. Our server was very good and seemed concerned that I didn’t eat my dinner or take it home with me. We won’t be going back to Szechuan Palace, unfortunately.
Yuk. Certainly not what I expected. Very disappointing. The place looked and smelled dirty. Got lemon chicken….they just forgot to put the chicken in it. Lots of breading…..no chicken. Our service was very slow…..waitress came to our table to tell us that they were having problems in the kitchen. Really??? It was our first and last trip to that place. Servers were pleasant.
Disappointing. The prior reviews were all quite positive and so we had high expectations. Sadly, they proved unfounded. The Kung Pao chicken had some heat but lacked the richness that one normally expects with this dish. It had some chillies but not that spicy. The bean curd Szechuan style was more disappointing with little flavor – bland and uninteresting with a little heat. The Mongolian beef was the one dish that was tasty but this is not particularly Szechuan. My guess is that the place has a Cantonese chef not a Szechuan one.The price of lunch menu specials are nevertheless good value in term of the amount of food for the price. So if you stick to the non-Szechuan items, it might be okay. The atmosphere was certainly interesting – perhaps a steak house at one time? The service was fine.
JAJA. I like the place, the Szechuan style food is my best!
Szechuan Palace is one of the finest Chinese restaurants I have had the pleasure of trying! Atmosphere is cozy, staff is friendly and courteous, and the food is delectable!
