Keegan’s is hidden away off of the beach in a little strip plaza. It looks like just another mom and pop diner, and that’s what it looks like inside too, but the food is pretty darn good. They have good Cajun gator bites, which serve as a good, filling appetizer. I had the crab cake sandwich and I was expecting it to be bigger for the price. Only complaints are that the food is a little overpriced for the portions and there isn’t a lot of space inside. Regardless, the food is awesome!
Great place. My favorite things here are the fried grouper and chocolate pecan pie, they definitely take the cake for the best around for each of these things
Good, fresh seafood. Ceviche and peel ’em shrimp are very good. Octopus and calamari were only okay. Fun place for a bite with the fam.
When I go out to eat I usually expect good food & good service. Most of the time you get it but some times you don’t. Tonight we got great food with great service. Everyone loved their dishes. The grouper, soft shell crabs, the fillet, the spreads & the soups were all great…. But the greatest part of the dinner was our server (Rachelle). We had two small children with us & we knew right away that she was a mom because of how she interacted with them & how she knew to bring their meals out with the appetizers. She was great all night & it made our experience that much better.
It’s a sad day when I have to write a bad review about a good restaurant, but we will not be going back unless they fix the air conditioning. The food was delicious, the service, prompt and friendly. However, by the time we left my son and I needed a shower. You’d think they’d have an adequate cooling system being that it is a Florida restaurant, and the majority if the year, it’s hot. Apparently not. I recommend you get your food to go unless you enjoy sweating through your meal.
Yum!. Literally lucked into this place after visiting beach. Food (grouper cheek sandwich) was awesome, staff was friendly and the price was right! Would definitely go again.
Seafood Delight. My wife and I visited this restaurant for first time Wednesday. Decent atmosphere but the food far outweighed everything else. We both had seafood. I had the crab dinner and my wife had the snapper. The spicy sauce that came with our appetizer was a bit hot, but very satisfying with the shrimp.The coleslaw was great, and the side dishes were terrific. Took home a triple-decker chocolate cake and it was also very good especially with the Hagen-Dazs ice cream we picked up on the way home. Will go back to this restaurant with our friends and show them a very good seafood restaurant.
