A bit of a wait, we arrived 6:25 on a Wednesday. Once seated – beer or wine? We had the she crab soup- YUM and the grilled artichoke for an appetizer. I could have had seconds on the soup. Artichoke was pretty good. I ordered the Parmasian crusted mahi mahi and my mom ordered the crab cakes. Both were large in size and very good. Overall I was so pleased with our decision to wait and eat here.
It’s good but not exceptional. The conch fritters didn’t seem to have any conch in them. The crab cakes weren’t lump meat and were fluffy, indicating a lot of mayonnaise. The grouper sandwich was really decent. Prepared well and a nice portion. Sides are very limited. If you are from out of town and staying nearby, it is one of your better options (i.e. avoid Crabby Bill’s). But if you are local, there are some better options.
