Went there for lunch today. Have been once before, when they moved. It was good then. Not now! We ordered the special of blackened mahi tacos and a beer battered grouper with french fries and coleslaw. We wanted to order oysters because it is an oyster house but they were out. The three tacos had an amount of fish for two tacos (although the mahi was cooked nicely) it unfortunately was served with a super wet salsa on top which made the tortillas soggy by the time they came to the table. Last thing I want to say about the tacos is that all of them were not plated correctly, I had to move the small peices of fish across my soggy tortillas to make them resemble a per portioned taco. The fries were instatutional and poorly fried and room temp 🙁 the grouper was fresh, a nice size however greasy (again not hot enough oil) Also same fry issue. The slaw was dry..pretty much shredded cabbage, no dressing.Service ok, server not much personality. Would I recommend this place to anyone? Not after this experience ..too bad:( tourist, Florida has more to offer than this.
Tourist trap. Prices aren’t current online (oysters several $$more/dz). Food mediocre at best and drowning in sauces. If you want long John slv than just go there.
Horrible service from the owner. We went there yesterday. First we had to wait 45 min. Then the hostess took us to our table. My husband and I sat down and we were a table of five. My kids were playing in the arcade room. We know the staff because we moved down from up north. The staff is great is always pleasant. Yesterday this lady came to our table and said where’s your party and said she was taking the table. It was 2 tables combined. My husband said we already placed our diner order and waited 45 min. I thought she was new. I asked to see the manager. He came over to the table and I asked to talk to him on the side I did not want to create a scene. The manager knew us from going there regularly. I explained what happened she came out from the employee room and I said it was her. He explained she was the owner. She was arguing with me her side why she asked for the table. I said we are done and will never come back. I asked the manager to cancel our order. I went to the table and we left our bottle of wine that we paid for at the bar and walked out. I will not recommend this place ever. There’s 10 restaurant around pjs that have good customer service. There’s no reason to be treated that way especially when it’s the owner. NOT GOOD LEADERSHIP.
Horrid. We went with family last night. The food was disgusting. Just horrid. Don’t know who cook is, but they need trained.
Fish Spread – Amberjack. Appetizer fish spread made with smoked amberjack.
Legendary Place and Fantastic food. PJ’s is one of the best restaurants on the beach. We have eaten there for several years now and the new location is fabulous. The food is fresh and delicious as always and the place is a fun environment. They moved across the street from their old location to a bigger, and new spot because they are so popular with locals and tourists. Forget the few negative reviews and go enjoy PJ’s for yourself.
Terrible. Kids sized portions with dinner prices and no happy hour… spent 58 for 2 glasses of wine fish and chips (3 small pieces) and Mahi dinner that would not have filled 7 year old
