The place it pretty fun to look at inside. Dollar bills just line the walls with tourists/locals leaving their names and such. Pretty cool. The service was fast and our waiter was pretty attentive! We ordered the raw oysters to start with and they were delicious and super fresh! I grew up eating them freshly shucked with some lime, salt, and hot sauce and so this is exactly how I ate them here. Super yum like that btw. I wish I could remember what the dish was that we ordered but for the life of me I can’t remember! Grrr..we got some kind of combo for like 19.99 and shared it. The combo meant you could choose two main things like crab cake, grouper, oysters, clams, etc with two sides. We got the blackened grouper, fried crab cake, steamed broc, & cole slaw. For how small and what it was I thought 19.99 was too much but I’m not sure if that’s how that runs here. They had a special which was the fresh live Maine lobster with two sides for like 15.99 and that to me would’ve been a better deal. Anywho the grouper and cole slaw was the best thing there! So much flavor on the fish and slaw wasn’t overly dressed. The grouper was spicy just fyi! Overall pretty good just not like blown away like I expected!
I flew in from Indiana, my brother picked me up at the airport, and we drove straight to PJ’s to get my Florida vacation started right! Everything was fresh and had an amazing flavor. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. PJ’s will always be my first stop when I fly in. It was great!
I ritualistically come to PJs every time that I visit Indian Rocks Beach. The wait staff is super friendly, the beer is ice cold and it is my favorite place to get raw oysters. I recommend the blackened grouper, it is their best dish, either alone, on a sandwich or ask for a special blackened grouper taco for extra price, make sure to get the Cole slaw to add to the toco.
