New Owners have upgraded this spot!. If you are reading the reviews prior to the Fall of 2013 you need to know that Thai-Pan Alley has new owners that have invested quite a bit into the outside decor and the quality of the food. It is a nice comfortable spot and the food is good. In my opinion, it is quite a bit better than it was under previous ownership. Good variety and quite tasty. Be careful when order your heat level (1-5). I usually like hot foods and a #2 is plenty spicy for me. If you haven’t tried Thai-Pan Alley in a while, it’s worth giving another shot.
Delicious food, all freshly made. Sure, it may not be authentic (I’ve never had authentic Thai food), but it is good! I eat here all the time. Love the pra ram, pad Thai, fried dumplings, and Thai iced tea!
Sad. Used to be my fav years ago. Tried it 5 times over the last 2 years hoping I was just having an isolated bad experience. No so….won’t go back
This place has gone down hill. The chicken fried rice we ordered today was dry, tasted and smelled bad and the chicken was disgusting. I have had this dish probably thirty times over the years from there and loved it but the new owners have let it go along with this customer who will never return.
Not what it used to be. Not sure what happened here? Maybe new owners? This place used to have amazing Thai food! That is not the case anymore. Must be new cooks, new owners and bad recipes. We tried it twice in the last 4 months and it was horrible. So sad to see such a great place take a 180 degree turn downward.
Yikes. Went for a late lunch with two friends. The place was next to empty, waitress was rarely ever seen, and it still took a half hour to get our food. was so overseasoned, it was nearly impossible to eat it in one sitting. Pad thai sauce was completely wrong, (as in NOT traditional pad thai sauce at all…) and SOOO salty, there wasn’t enough water on earth to cut the salt. Lemongrass chicken was so lemongrass-y, it made our lips pucker. Would not recommend to anyone who appreciates authentic thai food. This was not even close to comparable. Huge disappointment.
Sometimes it’s fun to experience something so unique, so HORRIBLE! Just the facts of our visit; Incect poop was on the table and napkins. Waitress told us she forgot about us. But the food was the worst part. I would equate it to a Thai food on air gourmet (airplane food) everything was obviously freezer burned and or out of a can with no preparation, thought or any effort at all to serve decent or presentable food. Tasted horrible. Chicken dishes habanout 1/3 ounce in each entree and 4 ounces of sugar sauce over frozen vegetables, you know the kind, kids summer camp comes to mind! What a shame since we live 2 blocks away. Vard
