Our waitress Jessica made sure we had a wonderful evening the last night of our vacation. We shared the tuna app, I had the filet Oscar. It was cooked to perfection. My husband had the filet with 1/2 king crab and loved his meal. We sat outside and the atmosphere was gorgeous. They will accommodate what you are looking for in anything that you order. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area.
Superior Quality, Memorable Service & Best Inter-coastal Seating in Tampa BayMy family and I drove from South Tampa to Salt Rock Grill for what was soon to be a best-in-class experience at the spacious Indian Shores restaurant. Without a reservation, we were seated at a corner table overlooking the inter-coastal where we observed dolphins dancing among the busy bay boaters as they navigated their way up and down the canal.Our server, Melissa – who you must ask for if you want memorable dinning – is one of the most passionate and attentive servers we’ve ever experienced. If you read my restaurant reviews, you know that it’s rare that I mention a server by name. In this case, it’s warranted.We started our initial Salt Rock Grill experience with iced tea and fresh, warm sour dough bread. It was so tempting, that we asked for more. Melissa served us with what appeared to be some of the best extra virgin (top shelf) olive oil mixed with Salt Rock’s special blend of natural herbs. The combination was just right for us, especially as we overlooked the serenity of the water.From appetizers to the four, different entrees we enjoyed, the food was prepared with the finest ingredients and prepared fresh with special care as to add value to the color and richness of the presentation. For my first dining experience at the Salt Rock Grill, it was a memorable one. We’ll be back!
My go-to place for a nice meal when I visit Tampa. Food is always excellent. Good wine selection. Can get crowded, but you can usually find a spot at the bar.
The food was excellent! If you love seafood you should try this place. It is pretty expensive but so worth it! I recommend the Tuna!!! And the soup was awesome too!

Disappointing!. In town for corporate training a colleague recommended Salt Rock Grill. A lovely place with water views, we were able to dine al fresco. I ordered the fresh catch of Red Snapper Oscar. At $33.50 for the plate, what a disappointment. The snapper was over cooked and dry, the sauce turned out to be a dollop!! I didn’t want a potato as a side so asked if rice was offered, for an up charge I could get Jasmine rice. Our server failed to mention that it was just plain old steamed rice! I also had the roasted beet and arugula salad, tasty but lacking the finesse you would expect at an establishment such as this. I would not recommend you are this restaurant to anyone.
The crap/asparagus bisque was excellent. The two filets and one ribeye were perfect. The service was good. The meal was a great way to end a vacation.
