Overpriced. There is a little, unpretentious asian restaurant in Key Largo, which is just as good, at 1/4 of the price. It even has a warm, homey ambi…

Nice menu & atmosphere but Brian is very slow. We have eaten here many times but this server made it not so good.
Very slow service. A bit pretentious. Food ok but nothing here to bring me back. And for you parents, the kids pizza is a psedo-margherita. Most kids I know balk at eating cherry tomatoes on their pizza.
Pricey but decadent. We started with the Wakame Salad Duo which was delicious and the Ginger Pork Dumplings, steamed, both of which were tasty and better than expected. For dinner I had the Drunken Scallops (diver scallops pan seared in duck fat with bacon and caramelized onions in a Sam Adams seasonal beer reduction. Served with lobster-mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables). They were tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were every bit as good as they sound! My husband ate the Triple Tail Saltimbocca (sage & prosciutto crusted, citrus cream sauce, paired with a cous cous salad & baby vegetables) since we’d never had Triple Tail before. It was light and flaky, the cream sauce was heavy, but worked. The Island Creme Brulee was a little weird, with green tea and ginger, but the Key lime pie was on point, though we were told it wasn’t house made. Nice relaxing atmosphere and excellent service.
Delicious Dinner. Second time dining at Kaiyo while in Islamorada. Started off with the Threesome of mac n’ cheese- lobster, applebacon and low country and the Tuna Squared sushi was fantastic. This was yummy! All of our dinners were excellent- Drunken Scallops, Filet, sushi-beef on weck and crazy cuban. This is definitely a must when dining in Islamorada, you won’t be disappointed.
Great meal – hogfish stuffed with crab over fresh veggies and jasmine rice – all prepares to perfection. All topped off with island crime brle – life doesn’t get much better.

Hands down, best restaurant in the Keys. Everything was excellent; service, food, atmosphere. We come to the Keys once a month and I will eat here every single time!
