Not welcoming. We wanted to try this place based on the reviews, but walked in and there were only a few tables seated with a considerably white-haired crowd, that simultaneously looked at us. We asked to see a menu but was only pointed in the direction of the bar to get it ourselves. Menu items seemed higher priced considering a brochure called it casual, fish in a basket, Baja tacos kind of place. Super-awkward. Oh well.

Ma’s Fish Camp. Have to tell you all this little hidden place in Islamorada is the place to try before you leave the Keys. Starting with their Conch Fritters or the Smoke Fish Dip for starters. Then I had the Fish Wrap Grill REAL GOOD. Rest if our group when wish the Fish Tacos & Fish Sandwich & they where real happy with their plate. Do not forget their desserts. Try their Dip Dish Kelly Lime Pie & The Hummingbird. You will thank me. As we leave they post a sign in the window with their new ours: FROM SEPT 03 TO DEC 03 will open at 4PM until close I believe is 9PM

We moved to Florida a year ago from California. This restaurant is THE ONLY place we have eaten in the entire state of Florida that is worth returning to! This place is the real deal! The fish is delish! We have been here 3 times and can’t wAit to go back! The key lime pie is the best! If you are in town or driving through….make this stop!

The food was good not outstanding just good. We thought it was a little over priced for what we received. The key lime pie was excellent. The waitress Patty was outstanding really down to earth and made you feel welcome.

The best fish in Florida. Without exaggeration, the fried fish here is the best you’ve ever had. And I didn’t even HAVE the fried fish, I just stole bites from my my wife’s plate. I had blackened cobia, which was really excellent. Wild cobia is a bit like a cross between swordfish and salmon. Firm, yet perfectly cooked, not rubbery at all. The sides were spectacular, the portions ample, though not ridiculously large. I am about to indulge in what looks like a delicious, huge, piece of the obligatory Key Lime Pie. Three of us ate our fill for $65. GO!

Went there for dinner last night. Ordered the Coconut crusted Mahi Mahi black beans and rice and a glass of Whitehaven. Server came back and told me they were out if that wine and the only other Sauvignon Blanc was 2.5 more a glass but I said okay. I realized my server never asked me how I wanted my fish prepared but no worries the fish (a HUGE portion) was delish, but the beans and rice were terrible. I sat in a corner with darn near no lighting at all til the server realized how dark it was and adjusted the lighting. Hush puppies were very good. I decided to order dessert to go and ordered the German Choc cake or so I thought. Bill came an d there was the most expensive glass of wine on their menu which I didn’t have. I pointed this out but it was after I had signed and tipped. Their resolution was to give me back two dollars..not taking into account the tax AND the tip on the incorrect amount. Poor customer service. So I get home and lo and behold I see he sent me home with some strawberry key lime dessert. Don’t like strawberries so waste of money. I should have called but was fed up with the whole deal. Only thing good was the fish, but the service stunk and I might return to see if it was a fluke. Maybe.
